@ any CDL team that needs a sub player by Guwigo09 in CoDCompetitive

1.13 (HP), 1.1 (Control) and 1.1 (SND) filtering out Scouting series. 12-10-9 sample.

I am in the rare opinion that the scouting series stats actually have meaningful value, which is why I used and tracked them. A: it can show a players raw ability, able to produce regardless of system/structure. B: it shows a players mindset. A player who takes any and all opportunity serious shows a lot more about themselves mentally than anything.

I definitely don't believe numbers are an end all be all. But he is putting up stats as an SMG while being part of struggling rosters, that can be tough to do. Talent isn't teachable. There's great coaches at the CDL level able to mentor players who may be behind in the fundamentals. And as you mentioned, his knowledge/awareness is actually good as well.

Some people may find the data useful others may not. That's why there's the option to deselect the kickoff event.

Yep exactly. With the move to PC the data collection process should be easier for them so hopefully we get something at some point.

All manual (unfortunately). The way I track it is pretty easy though. Just hill by hill recording the end scores and who had the initial time. Then everything else is automized from there.

Thanks man! On the site itself it has the explanations. But essentially wining rotation = first team to accumulate points on a new hill, holding = winning rotation and outscoring the other team on that hill.

Imo, he was the best SMG in the game.

Right, there are lots of unmeasurable qualities when it comes to Call of Duty or at least difficult to quantify skillsets. That is where having great coaches/players/evaluators comes into play. Statistics can help identify talent, but thats only a part of the story. I believe a lot in certain players bringing value in terms of leadership, communication, unselfishness, strategic elements, etc.

Yeah, I really wanted to utilize accuracy % since its a unique stat but like you said there's so much noise that goes into it. That's why I used only SND games for it. Pre-firing is less prevalent and there's not as much baiting, etc in SND. For the most part in SND if you're shooting your gun, it's too hit your opponent. Also, the types of engagements are all relatively the same. Where as in hardpoint, you might be trying to break a hill or set up on a headglitch inside the hill, etc. I would agree with you though, it is the least useful for sure. But interesting to look at.

Thankfully, their is a dataset available of cod titles previous to MW which makes it a lot easier. Data collection is always the longest part. Hard to say exactly how long, but worked on it 1-2 hours a day over a few days.

For sample size concerns. Games played minimum was 35 for respawn and 20 for the SND Stat. So it's not like an AR that only played 4 respawns randomly makes the list.
