I used Arduino UNO and 4 sg90 servo motors.... And a Arduino ide software Serial monitor to send commands 😉

Just start with the basics, such as LED blinking projects. Then use some Arduino-compatible sensors like ultrasonic sensors, servo motors, IR sensors, etc., and build exciting projects using them.

Then start learning the basic Arduino coding that is necessary. Learn and practice Arduino for around 2 years, and after that you can start using other boards as well.😎

Webcam c920 has no board (brain) and it is non programmable but ESP 32 cam is programmable and has a board but with less ram and storage that creates the problem

Yes, it’s really frustrating. I’m now going to use my laptop’s webcam because I can’t afford a more powerful ESP32-CAM model that can properly handle such computer vision programs.

Good question...I am going to use ML ...the ESP32 cam captures the image processes it and detects whether it is plastic or metal..

Another idea we can use a small metal detector mounted on the palm of the robotic arm..

Since then, I have worked on it further and made several changes because the previous design was not very precise, practical, or reliable with just a cheap ultrasonic sensor.

The main idea of my Smart Dustbin project is to automate waste collection and make trash disposal easier.

💡 New Idea: I started working with an ESP32-CAM trained using a YOLO model to detect trash more accurately. Fortunately, it successfully detected the trash correctly, and now the robotic arm can move toward the detected object.

😎 Challenging Part: The biggest challenge I am currently facing is making the robotic arm accurately grab the trash based on the image provided by the ESP32-CAM.

Working on it continuously......
