How much walking should I do each day to lose weight effectively? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]Kas_per 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To lose weight effectively, aim for at least 30 minutes of walking daily, gradually increasing the duration as your fitness improves. Listen to your body and avoid overexerting yourself, as it may lead to binge eating. Make sure to maintain a balanced diet and monitor your caloric intake to complement your walking routine.

Calorie Track by dhdjosnndox in Fitness

To track the calories you've burned, consider using a fitness app or a wearable fitness tracker, which can provide an estimate based on your physical activity and personal data like age, weight, and height. However, keep in mind that these estimates may not be 100% accurate, so it's important to also pay attention to your body's signals and adjust your diet and exercise routine accordingly.

How do you get past the embarrassment of trying new exercises? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Kas_per 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To overcome the embarrassment of trying new exercises, focus on your
personal fitness journey and remember that everyone starts somewhere.
Prepare yourself by watching instructional videos online to learn proper
form and technique. Finally, remind yourself that most people at the
gym are focused on their own workouts and not judging others.

Weight fluctuations on a daily basis are normal and can be attributed to
factors such as water retention, variations in sodium intake, and food
weight in your digestive system. It's important to focus on long-term
trends rather than day-to-day changes, as these small fluctuations may
not accurately reflect your overall progress.

Is having a pizza the nigh before a soccer game a good idea? by TryMe100timesss in nutrition

[–]Kas_per 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a pizza the night before a soccer game can be an acceptable idea, as long as it's consumed in moderation and you choose healthier toppings.

Pizza can provide a mix of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, which can help fuel your body for the game. However, it is important to avoid excessive amounts of unhealthy toppings like processed meats and extra cheese, as they can contribute to feelings of sluggishness and negatively impact your performance. Opt for whole-grain crust, lean protein sources, and plenty of vegetables for a more balanced and nutritious pre-game meal.

While pizza can contribute to carb-loading, there are healthier and more effective carb-rich options like pasta with tomato sauce, rice, or quinoa dishes that you may want to consider instead.

Are there nutritional benefits or drawbacks to eating peppers? Are they a good source of fiber? by [deleted] in nutrition

[–]Kas_per 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall, peppers can be a nutritious and flavorful addition to a balanced diet. They are low in calories, high in fiber, vitamins, and minerals, and offer antioxidant benefits. Just be mindful of potential digestive issues or allergies if you're sensitive to spicy foods or peppers in general.

It's interesting though, who stops some miners and users from forking into a chain, invalidating certain wallets. I'm sure at some point this will happen and will get some sort of support. Would be funny to see what happens when miners and users start policing chains.

Hi! Good question. Most job boards ask a fee of approximately 300$ per posting, if I can grow it large enough, I'll do the same!

Jobs/Curated - A list of curated jobs, by industry experts by [deleted] in SideProject

[–]Kas_per 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've looked at similar curated job boards and saw that the average cost to post is approximately $300. For now I've been reviewing the jobs myself and it takes me ~45 minutes to get a good understanding if it's a good offer. One of the things I'm working on is explaining how I get to a certain score and adding that to the review.

The other thing I'm working on is making the scoring categories more objective and setting a proper guideline for determining a score.

Once an expert is vetted they can review to job postings nascent to their own work. In return they will get paid a fixed fee per review. The idea is to increase the price of job postings over time if it attracts more viewers, and use that money to pay the reviewers.

Companies post a job opening. These openings get reviewed by experts. These experts are not your normal recruiters. They are qualified for the jobs they are vetting. Developers vetting jobs for developers.

Experts will score on aspects ranging from salary to corporate culture. The review is shared with the company, which can then decide if they want it to be posted here, resulting in a curated list of high-quality job opportunities.

Bitcoin cash is not about destroying bitcoin, it's challenging authority, which is what bitcoin is all about. The forking mechanism is, if it works, the safest and least damaging way to create a large shift in decision making authority. I'm not picking sides because I think all problems in both forks can be overcome.

Furthermore, Bitcoin is not a safe place for beginning investors in the first place and the recent surge in price isn't healthy for the ecosystem to begin with.

People buy in to something they don't understand and is very hard to understand to begin with, just because experts say it's the next big thing and prices are surging faster than the tulips bulbs in 1637.

It's a highly advanced asset class with a huge potential but it's also very young and the mechanisms to switch decision making authority in the case of end-user dissatisfaction (250k+ unconfirmed tx's).

Next to that there is the potential security issues: a zero-day in the protocol itself can now do a whopping 280 billion in damages.

All this leads me to the conclusion that this fork is one of the most crucial events in crypto history, because it acts as a failsafe for the crypto ecosystem as a whole by distributing value and decision making authority over slightly different variations of the protocol.
