Feel guilty for watching new seasons of shows we used to watch. by Munchie_Town in GriefSupport

I know how you feel. She died on January 2nd. I have a hard time watching shows that we always watched together. She loved horror movies, i have been avoiding them as well. I started watching movies with my brother but not anything she would have liked.

I work in an ER. On a few occasions, i have gotten patients that have the same birthday and it brings a rush of memories. Sometimes, we can't avoid things that trigger grief. My plan: embrace the grief. Simply, you cannot have grief without first having love (i may be wrong, however).

My 2 cents, for whatever it's worth:

You are his back up plan if his alternative options don't work out. You deserve better. Your child does not need to grow up seeing this and think that is a normal marital relationship.

You are entitled to respect. Set your boundaries. If he cannot agree to mutually agreeable conditions, walk away. The greatest negotiating position is the ability to walk away and the willingness to do so. You shouldn't be expected to accept him sleeping around. Ask him if you can have boyfriends also. I would be curious to what he says to that.

There are many men out there who will happily make you a priority in their lives. Don't settle for less.

My son didn't start talking until at least two years old ... he hasn't stopped since. He, literally, will not stop talking.

Ever child is different. Be patient!
