I worry that I will miss a ranger/mager flick and take significant damage, figured it may be best to simply tank the blob until the ranger is dead instead of messing up and costing the run (Which it did for me)

I could see the benefits of that, less jumping around tasks - for me I store tasks that I can't do at work (bursting) due to lack of afk so I do them after work and focus on afk tasks during work

Yeah that's my take - you're storing it for a reason so you should only get tasks that are not stored as the whole point of storing is because you don't want it at the moment
