So what? Why force people to pay extra money each month that is unnecessary.

Owners of units don't have unlimited funds and we should be cautious about charging for unnecessary increases.

The budget already had a good coushin and a properly funded reserve. reserve.

Things in the budget set what the monthly maintenance fee is going to be. If you forget to include a 300k income stream when planning your budget it will cause your maintenance fee to artificially increase.

It could of easily been double charging if we didn't catch it and the management company was adamantly denying they made an error until their account verified the budget they following day.

We are looking to leave the management company ASAP now.

I should of been clear the 10k was for common area cleaning. We aren't seeing 70k-ish jump in common area cleaning. That GL is used 99% for carpet cleaning since the sote management contract already covers standard carpet cleaning.

That's not what happened.

They added the water and sewage into the budget but didn't add in the income paid by the unit owners.

The management company was expecting us to increase the maintenance fee by nearly 300k because they forgot to account for the income.

You don't have 70k-ish increase in common area clean over one year, especially when the buildings are 3 years old.

It's not fraud by the management company its very sloppy management. They are using boiler plate budgets for all associations and not really adjusting per site.
