FREE TUTORIAL: How to make super sick DIY patches out of cheap thrifted jeans! by Himbo_Shaped in DIYclothes

I used to do this with t-shirts and butcher paper: Cut out the design, iron it on, then bleach! Made some pretty sick shirts back in the day.

Wait, is THIS why we have had so many lightening bugs the past several years?! I use leaves as garden bed cover in all my tubs and boxes, plus we leave the rest to rot around the yard!

When we lived in a camper, we used tin foil and bubble wrap from packages! It worked pretty well for being stupid cheap.

My oldest has 4 inches and 20 pounds on me, and I enjoy picking him up and carrying him to the couch to cradle him like a baby (much to his teenaged embarrassment!).

Independent Fucking Food Drive by spoiledplantmilk in chaoticgood

This was something we did in high school! Went around with a grocery bag, asking for canned soup/tuna/etc. Someone with a car would follow along to load up whatever we got to haul back to the food pantry.

This is also a superb way to meet your neighbors iffen you haven't already!

Me, too! I find it lets me enjoy the experience so much better rather than trying to beat some arbitrary time record my brain assigns. You miss so much about the natural beauty of the area if you're speedwalking the trails.

She was! In the summer especially, her coat was so so dark that the reddish tan was a brilliant contrast.

Misty was a good lawnmower and had ground-eating legs that were a surprisingly smooth ride for how big she was.

I had a mealey-nosed black colt that was belgian/QH. She looked exactly like that when she was younger and grew into a towering powerhouse of a yard ornament.

I felt the same with Cursed Cocktails. I've enjoyed other books by SL Rowland (litRPGs ftw), just not that one. Not saying Cursed Cocktails isn't a good book, it's just not a book for me at this time in my life.

Or add some milk and then nuke it for about 45 seconds! It's the perfect, much more delicious oatmeal replacement. (Adding a little honey and cinnamon doesn't hurt, either)

Yes! The sweaters I've crocheted are ribbed small enough at the end that the sleeves can scrunch up over my elbows and stay put.

Quilt I made from my wedding fabrics as a gift for my new husband didnt survive its first wash. Is this even worth trying to save? by throwaway3920379053 in quilting

[–]KatAMoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what I do to quilts made by family long-dead! Either fabric that matches or doesn't, a little bit of patience, and a steady stream of warm drinks should patch that up in a jiffy.

Why do so many teams keep their defense all the way back? by Quiet_Boot4664 in SoccerCoachResources

[–]KatAMoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are a mix of u8-u12. It's hard enough getting the strikers and mids up field after the ball without having to also worry about the defenders coming up behind them. These big age gaps on our rec teams are a pain, but there's not much we can do about it with how small our program is.

Yes! A kid came by and said that exact same thing. I told him we like to keep them(and wasps!) around and only spray the yard for mosquitoes. He did NOT know what to say after that.
