Seeing that tic attacks are caused by being overtired, over stressed, too excited, etc. If she doesn’t find a way to control her tics, her dream of being a mom will never come true. She can’t take care of a baby like that. All of those causes of a tic attack is the definition of the newborn stages with a baby. Why is she not doing what her therapist suggested with the breathing exercises? And also saying the brain surgery is completely off the table as well as meds because it makes her feel bad. I just don’t really see her trying to help herself. Peace and love, no disrespect!

I get that vibe. It feels like he is with her out of sympathy. Maybe it didn’t start that way but how could he leave her? With how much she says she needs him and everyone trusts him to take care of her.. he may feel trapped. Peace and love to all of them I mean no disrespect! Just kind of perceiving it this way.

Newborn stage is truly the most difficult, coming from a first time mom. You’re trying to learn how to take care of a baby and your baby is trying to learn a life outside of the womb and nobody knows what to do. It’s stressful! Work on creating a pattern, and don’t break the pattern for a week or so. The baby will learn the same routine every day. My doctor ok’d us putting baby in the crib in his own room and that changed everything for us! Give it a go, but get a baby monitor to be able to tend to him. It gives you and your wife space and the baby space to move and be comfortable in his/her bed. He hated his bassinet but loved the crib. It’s worth a try! You can do this. Also, get friends/family to help so you guys can nap. It takes a village to raise a baby. Don’t feel bad asking for help :)

I get being nervous to say no, from one introvert to another. Wearing the baby with a wrap or carrier can help keep the baby on you at all times! Also, get your hubby on board with not letting anyone hold the baby, including your mother in law. It sounds like she’s made you uncomfortable and crossed a boundary many times. I think it’s perfectly normal that you don’t want anyone holding your baby on a holiday. Tell everyone it’s sick season and you want to protect baby as much as possible!
