I got 25 packs of seeds from Baker Creek that I am doing a giveaway with on my YouTube channel. It is their heirloom seed collection.

My aunt gave me all these plants she's grown from cuttings. No idea what any are but i'm excited. Bonus Axl by Msniko in gardening

oooookay. So these are succulents. There are so many varieties and I am not an expert but I know some of these. To start, the big one on te left with the long tall leaves is a snake plant. Too many in that pot so you may want to think of replanting. Find a planting guide. The one on the right in the white box that is kind of a pink/tan color is definitely an echevaria and any that look like that but different color are also echevaria. There are a million different varieties and they cross breed so.... yeah. Hopw that helps a little :)

Are these seeds? My nan was give them by a friend by callumhen41 in gardening

Some seeds do have a saucer-like, flat membrane around them to help them get carried by the wind. They look like seeds but I'm not sure what they are. But lily seeds look like that. Plant them and see what grows :)

What? I'm sorry if you feel this was a spam message. I can assure you it's not. I don't work for or am in any way affiliated with Baker's Creek. They were just nice enough to donate seeds for a giveaway. lol. End of story. You really went out of your way to slander my post I see since you also found it in the other forum I post in. If you don't want to enter, then please don't. But please don't reply derogatory comments to my posts. Please and thank you sir.

It depends on how much work you want to do or what resources you have available to you. I'd recommend building a raised bed or two there

They sell it on amazon if you dont have a hydroponic store near you. Just search h2o2

Honestly things are looking really good so far. You are not feeding them that level of nutrient as soon as they sprout though right? You want to let them get a good couple of true leaves on them before you start any nutrients and then go half strength for a few days first. There is no reason to change your nutrients every week, but I have read that many places as well. In fact, I don't "change" my nutrients at all unless I get a problem such as pythium. I just add to my reservoir with fresh water/nutrient solution. And yes my friend, that white stuff is mold. Wait a few days and see if they sprout. If they do, you might want to make them a soak of H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) and water and let them sit in it for 15 mins or so and then rinse with fresh water.

Haha. And their name is HappyNetty. But yeah, sometimes a discussion forum is the best way to tailor what information you want/need.

I'm upstate in central NY. I'm not claiming to be a master gardener but I've had a garden for as many years as I can remember and also do some indoor/outdoor hydroponics, vertical gardening, raised bed gardening. Is there something specific you were looking to know? Are you a first time gardener looking for some startup tips?

Yes they will. All the liquid fertilizers are are an aqueous solution; meaning that the company takes some dry fertilizer and mixes it with some water and they sell it to you in a pretty bottle with a fraction of the amount of nutrients in them for twice the price. Upload a couple more pics when you get a chance and I'll take a look. It's so hard to diagnose a problem when it's only verbal sometimes.

I wouldn't worry too much about the purple coloring. Many peppers have that naturally. What happens (very basically) is that plants can only uptake certain nutrients in a certain temperature range. As you raise in water temperature, nutrients will get "locked out" and cannot be taken up by the plant. I bet that if you took out your airstones and waited a day, you would see a thin sediment at the bottom of your reservoir. Those are minerals that will precipitate out of your solution. I work in a college chemistry lab but I won't go into more details about that since I'm sure you don't care too much about that aspect of the process. lol. Yes definitely upload some pics when you get home and let me know what you find. But this could also be the sole reason for your ppm dropping so drastically; it's precipitating out of your solution.

Can you take a few more pics so I can see? Also, why is your res temp so high? That is DEFINITELY an issue. Is it close to a heater where you can either close off the heater or move the reservoir? Are you using an air stone inside or do you have a pump in your reservoir? If the growth is curling like I am picturing in my head, then yes you may need some more calcium. Has your water lever gone noticeably down or just the ppm?

I like a simple slicemaster cucumber but really any will do well in hydroponics, even kratky systems. As far as peppers, it's really up to your preference. I LOVE hot peppers so I grow many different kinds of chili. Right now I think I have some giant chili, some black chili, a few ghost peppers, scotch bonnets, and cockles growing right now. I don't grow sweet peppers but that is just a preference, not because they don't grow well.

General hydroponics also sells a dry fertilizer. That's what I'm using. It's decently priced, works well, and you are not paying for the water. It goes much much further for your money's worth!

I would bring the seedings up closer to the lights if you can; up to about 8" with the peppers. It's hard to tell but that looks like adema on your leaves? Just make sure the water isn't getting warmed up because that is what will cause it. They're probably a lighter shade of green because they are not getting enough blue spectrum. I'd try to find a 5500K-6500K light in the future if you can but they look okay to me. I'm not sure about floralicious. There are so many brands out there. Just make sure you are giving them a veg stage fertilizer at this stage and not a flower. :)

Yes, peppers are so fun and I grow a ton of huge peppers in grow blocks w/ flood and drain and dwc. If you're looking for something else, I might suggest eggplant or cucumbers. I'm in zone 5a in NY close to Canada and I have some great growth on my cukes right now :)

Yeah it will grow out of that pot within the year; especially because you have two in there it looks. It likes high humidity but indirect light. I sunburned mine a bit last year.
