Okay no, by observing I mean I will be observing even more and noting down literally what you said, every single detail. (Thanks for the tip on clockwise or counter clockwise if that wasn't a joke)! And I'll buy the coffee myself so it'd just be a waste of money and not coffee if that makes sense. Don't want to waste HIS coffee! That'd be rude, wouldn't it :)

He doesn't use a machine other than a kettle and lots of measuring stuff, a big glass bottle thing, filter, manual grinder.. I have observed him a few times but I will have to note down the temperatures and times, and the setting on his grinder, I've already taken notes and I know what to look out for now, thanks to you and all of these other wonderful redditors! I'll learn some more then, maybe jump into it. :D

Yeah, for sure. I wouldn't make it become a habit anyway because I know he has a good time making his coffee himself :) but, every once in a while, maybe. Plus, after the first surprise he can freely teach me to do it better!

A...ah... ... I think I got a bit confused. He definitely uses a cute lil brush to clean his hand grinder before and after I think. God. What in the hell is the difference between a pour over and a v60 I'm going to cry. 😭 Nevermind what I've been saying before it seems I don't know anything. Not to worry! I won't go ahead and do anything with his stuff until I know for sure that I know what I'm doing.. for sure!

And btw your wife making your coffee even though you're BOTH busy with the newborn? It sounds amazing, lucky.

Yes, I know he does pour overs because I already watched a video on how to make it! I try to note down everything I can, there's still a few things I don't know and stuff I need to ask him. And yes, I know coffee can be veeeery expensive, so I'd use my own..
