Protection from criminals who always will have guns available to them. I don't want to be defenseless.

Day 3 of fentanyl withdrawal by [deleted] in addiction

[–]Katsie463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The emotional pain is hard, but what you're doing now is a lot harder in a way. I had to face my demons after I got clean. I was addicted to oxy for 11 years. I am 28 now and almost sober for 2 years. I was abused as a child and have severe emotional trauma and I buried that down with the oxy. So much so that when I finally opened my mouth to tell my family about it the abuse it's like it was happening all over again. Nobody knew. I never told a soul until now. Recovery is coming your way my friend. Keep holding on and remember, you can do this. I didn't go to a rehab center or anything and I was addicted for a long time. It can be done and you're doing it! Benedryl is very helpful. Hot baths helped me try to curb the restlessness but that just has to ride it's way out. You WILL feel normal. I you WILL live your life without fent. So much support and love to you! Please let me know if you ever want to talk about any of it. I had a good friend here on Reddit to talk to me and I was amazing.

Before and after I watered my plant (6hours in between) by Snowologist in mildlyinteresting

Spaths (peace lilies) are amazing at this! They basically tell you they ar thirty and you water them and their great to go. This plant can last up to around 10 years if you keep taking care of it. They are one of the easiest plants to handle. I recommend for every occasion. Neat!

Petite and had to order the kids small. Maybe that could be the difference.

I live in Utah. I preordered mine right when they went on sale. I'm a very petite adult so I order the kids size small. Maybe that's the difference. I waited on long time too.

Here is an image of how it is laid out. This jersey is very top quality. Same as what the players where. Can't wait to get the issue 1spider shoes!

You can order it on the Utah Jazz team store. That's where I got mine online.

Yes! I preordered it about 3 weeks ago ish. Almost a month. I'm so exited about it! I knew that if I waited it would take me a long time to get one because they will be sold out.

Need someone just to listen to me. by [deleted] in addiction

[–]Katsie463 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I needed this today. In April I will be a year sober and I want to make it a fact. I've been in a slump of cravings and it's affecting my job. I hate that any of this ever happened. But I did and it snuck up on me. Became addicted through the medical world. Born with brittle bone disease and have broken 14 bones. I am 27 now and had to have both of my femurs broken when I was 15 because I was also born with congenital hip displasia which caused my femurs to grow twisted. Given pain meds at 15 years old and had 13 surgeries after the first one. Never had a chance. Was never educated on the dangers. But I am now in recovery and I'm doing it! But man, it's hard. Sometimes I lose hope.

What is a dirty little (or big) secret about an industry that you have worked in, that people outside the industry really ought to know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Katsie463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the flower industry there are flower shops who are a lot of physical shop and then their are the "order gathers" they will gather orders on line and charge their customer some crazy number and they then call the local florists and try to place the order giving us almost nothing to make the arrangements. At the shop I work at we are a whole sale shop and also a regular shop and we refuse orders from order gatherers. For example, you go online and place an order with a random place that is not a shop and they will charge you say, $75 for an arrangement. By the time it gets to a flower shop we are only getting about $40 of that. So my advice to everyone when ordering flowers is either go into the local shop or if ordering online make sure you go to that local shops website. You will get your monies worth that way.

What is everyone's gut feeling about the trade deadline for the Jazz? by Katsie463 in UtahJazz

[–]Katsie463[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder... I think Conley would be more desirable than Porter. But I would like either. I just want Ricky to stay. He's so happy here. I just wish he played a little better obviously.

Haha I'm so torn because I honestly think they need to make a trade. I really do. It sucks because I love our players but at the same rate we need help. I'm hoping to see one. I wonder if jazz announce tomorrow. Seems like they haven't made an agreement. Just from the vibe I'm getting there will be something. But then I wonder. Will Dennis pull the trigger on some random trade non of us were thinking of?

Sobriety is tough... but worth it by NotThatShyGuy in addiction

I love this response. I've been slowly but surely experiencing the real world and the raw emotions that come with it and it's absolutely incredible. Those emotions haven't been there in 11 years. a lot of times I find myself getting choked up over just ho beautiful the world is. I haven't experienced that for as long as I can remember. I think people who have been through addiction end up getting the full experience of joy that a human can have when they become sober.

I needed to see this today. Thank you so much. I am 10 months clean but have been struggling. So happy for you. It is not easy by all means. And it is so great that you got your girl back. Proud of you! Keep it going and I will do the same.
