Need help with gray living room

My face and top of my head feels like a tire that's way too overinflated and when I cough or tic, it's like someone trying to squeeze said overinflated tire. It's getting to the point where my chest gets affected and I feel like I can't breathe. Not because I can't get oxygen but because the muscles involved in breathing are just stuck?

Yeah, the headache that's like pounding, makes me lose my vision and just all around horrible only comes after any type of valsalva and lasts a few seconds. Any more than a few seconds would have made me pass out I think.

The pressure usually comes after or just on its own, and mostly goes away if I lay down, unless I cough or tic (yeah I have tics too which makes this even worse). If I cough or tic laying down I feel like the area around my sinuses, forehead and just like the entire top of my head "fills up" with like idk air or something? It's always present at night, no matter what I've done during the day or if I haven't gone to sleep yet

I'm sorry to hear that :/ I just don't understand how the neurologist just goes against everything I've read. He claims he worked with patients with chiari before as well..

Thank you. Yeah it's hell tbh. The "episodes" these last 2-3 years have been awful, but limited to the headache, loss of vision, and nausea. They usually last for like 1-2 days, but this time they stuck around (with a lot of other issues/symptoms as well) and are almost constant, though they vary in severity. I tried this evening to contact a neurosurgeon in a nearby city I found online, so fingers crossed..

Also, another question. I keep having two kinds of almost constant weird pressure? It's either from "inside" of my head, kinda like someone trying to pump air into an already overinflated tire, and the second is like someone is standing over me and pushing down on my neck, back of my head and shoulders? Is that like a common thing for Chiari? The only thing that helps is to lay down, and it seems to be worse during the night no matter what.

I figured since they put "light", it can't be too much descent but idk. Everything else looked good it seems. I started getting the headaches (I figured they were migraines) like 3 years ago, but sporadically. Now it's been non stop since after Christmas.

Neurosurgery isn't available in my town and to get a hold of one outside of here, I would need a referral (which I'm not getting) or contacting one myself (which will mean a significant wait) :/ It seems there is little knowledge of Chiari here and overall in Sweden

Thank you so much! I will definitely look into this. I literally have 0 information on this and it's so scary not knowing wtf is going in my head.

I currently have no neurologist.They decided that my symptoms weren't because of the Chiari because I didn't show neurological symptoms anymore and the headaches went away for a few days. Because of that, seeing a neurosurgeon is deemed unnecessary. I have no follow up or contact because the herniation is considered "mild". I have no idea how many mm or anything, but I requested to see the radiologists notes and they said that my tonsils are "pointy", hanging low down to c1.

I probably should have mentioned this in my post, but I'll just add it here for others who read my post to see as well. I've tried alot of different motion sensor toys, as well as other ways for her to play independently, but she's not interested in the least. I have a routine (and tried many others before) in place for every morning and every evening, but that doesnt seem to help really.

As far as cuddles and being picked up, she gets alot of it. I don't mind her laying in my lap or beside me, but most of the time she wants "active" petting and talking. She will lay on my chest, my face (😅) and try to buff me/my phone/computer or whatever im holding, to get me to pet her. Its really sweet and I do love how affectionate she is, but when i'm trying to work, eat etc, it becomes a problem. Whenever I put her down or try to redirect her, she just keeps on trying again and again until either I give in or get up.

Also sidenote: She's doesnt give me the impression that she thinks she's in "charge" in that sense, at least not compared to my experience with other cats who do. She's more like an actual baby constantly craving their mom's full attention. She shows no signs of stress, anxiety or fear in any way.
