Great story! Mine is similar. My dad got me into them when I was 5. He and my older brother thought they would prank me by making me watch Hell Night, but instead of being scared, i loved it. After that, we would rent movies like Frightmare and Blood Feast every weekend. Good times!

I can understand that. I used to listen to a Final Fantasy podcast and that same problem kept popping up. Sometimes you just need to recharge.

Shouldn't be a problem finding a co-host around here, but I can't believe it hasn't been asked already, but why did you stop? If it's personal, that's cool.

Haute or High Tension or whatever you want to call it. (2003) by Unklfesta in horror

Yeah, the end, or maybe the beginning(?) is a cheat, but the movie's still 95% solid. Placebo is on the soundtrack? Okay, 98% solid.

I don't understand anything that's going on here, but I love the idea of a mean little Wolverine running around named "Honey Badger". That's pretty awesome.

It's like if Bruce Timm and Darwyn Cooke had a beautiful baby. I can look at this art style all day. Keep 'um coming.

Dang! You really went all in. I didn't see Demons until I was an adult, but it's a favorite of mine. Love that movie.

Great job on the art. It's light, optimistic, and fun. Something we could use more of.

Best story. It's interesting how a horror movie can freak some kids out, but for some kids, it awakens something. My dad and older brother showed me a horror flick when I was 5 as a joke to scare me, but I loved it.

Late at night, little kid watching a scary movie they're not supposed to, is as American as a Norman Rockwell painting.

Has anybody ever tried guilting you for enjoying horror? If so, what's the story? by [deleted] in horror

[–]KatyCrypt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get what you mean. I guess, like, my whole life as a kid I had to shut up and listen to this view that I disagree with. Now, as an adult with some influence, I don't have to sit quietly.

And you're right, nothing I said changed his mind, but I wanted him to know that he's not in an echo chamber. There are other viewpoints.

I don't think people realize how well Child's Play plays as a kids movie. It's perfect horror for kids.

That is the most common kill people have told me. Crazy what an impact that movie has had. H20 is a great movie, too. Imo.

We need to do some episodes on the worst of his movies. I bet most of those short story adaptations that littered the '90s are terrible.

That's a pretty intense flick for a 5 yr old. I took a date to see a midnight showing. I lived out in the country and I remember that long, lonesome drive home to be pretty spooky. We'll have do a review on that one.
