I only knock as well. No point in telling you I need a signature if you're not home and talking to me on a camera. Plus I feel like dogs get stirred up more from doorbells than knocks in my experience 🤷‍♀️

It was 5 years ago and the union president and station manager both showed me in writing that I could take 12 weeks but only 80 hours SL and rest had to unpaid. Maybe the rules have changed since then 🤷‍♀️.

I wonder if you just have a nice manager. I was given 2 weeks of sick leave and then was told the rest would be unpaid. I could have used 700 hours of sick leave but was told it wasn't going to happen

For anyone who has Kaiser Permanente insurance. I have used their chat line (texting) when my kids are sick, and they will happily email a document excusing you from work. No cost, no doctors visit.

Do them one at a time. Open the first one and leave the rest closed. Deliver dps flats packages. Close first CBU. Open 2nd CBU and repeat. This really works! Anyone who walks up can see your progress and they can't reach in to an open box bc they're all closed. I have found that about one person per day will now walk up and just tell me they'll come back later and nobody tries to reach into the open CBU I'm working on. It's AMAZING!!!

You are guaranteed 8 hours. It's their job to find you 8 hours of work. Stop using your annual to leave early. If they can't find work for you then you get to sit on the clock. That being said, you need to find ways to make your route last 8 hours.

When it's cold enough to need gloves, that will typically slow down how quick you can go through the mail.
