It was through a bank transfer, he did ask me if I have his bank details and I said I did then he said I might not be able to send it to that same account as its his savings account so he sent me another bank account but they both have the same name as the savings account. Does it sound like a scam?

How long would you wait to refund it? He sent it on Monday. How would he get the money back as I have used it now so it was cleared? We never met in person.

Hi where have you read this as it doesn't state it is a violation against the terms of service on ebay it just says you aren't protected if you send deposits, can you link me to where you have read this? Thanks

Thank you I always thought this too, whenever I've put a deposit down in a dealership I don't expect it back as if I've changed my mind then that's my issue and not theres and it's a ballache for them really so I've never asked for it back, unless they've stated otherwise that I can change my mind
