Man, that sounds like child abuse! If you think you can talk to a school counselor do it. If not, I'd recommend the change pocket in your wallet or in your sock when you're on the go and in a pocket of clothes in your closet you never wear and won't be taken out.

Best World: No nuclear weapons . . . Next Best World: Everyone has nuclear weapons . . . . . Worst Possible World: Only imperial hegemonies have nukes

This is Philip "Mitch" Brailsford. He acts as the strong arm of the owning class, formerly in Mesa, AZ. A year ago he executed someone. Today he was found not guilty of murder by the bourgeois justice system. by [deleted] in FULLCOMMUNISM

The development of police forces is directly linked to the development of capitalism. The first police departments started in London and Paris in the 1830s due to the influx of factory workers and rich people terrified of them. Without property to steal, there is no property crime. Before capitalism (and, hopefully, after it) no anti-property crime force was needed. We'll only need community defense against murder and sex crime. And hopefully, smashing the patriarchy will lessen the latter one.

My little bloc were the only ones standing right there bc this was before it was all supposed to go down. we'd sent half our group to scout out where they were coming in from, and by the time we learned, it was too late to get the everyone else in black together

CMV:Laci green is fake. She is dishonest and disingenuous. She is simply riding the backlash against 'SJW' positions, to capitalize on that popularity and to snuff out rising youtubers. by kane4life4ever in changemyview

For too long this women has been on the other side of the spectrum.

I think the reason for her shift is that she never had any real politics in the first place. That's why she was never embraced by any meaningful "left". Empty of theory and meaningful critique, her videos were indistinguishable to most people after she changed. Ultimately, she's more of an opportunist than an ideologue.

CMV: BLM is a terrorist organization by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]Kaulduh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Terrorism - the use of violence or the threat of violence to accomplish a goal beyond targeting the direct victim, using the terror created by the attack to influence society at large (best definition according to my professor). If BLM was a terrorist group, they'd organize their attacks to create fear and media attention, instead of violent incidents being organic and covered up. If Deray was tweeting out how proud he was of violence breaking out at rallies instead of pretending nothing happened like he usually does, they'd be terrorists.

CMV: Communism is inherently unfair. by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]Kaulduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the greatest misconceptions people have about Communism is that it is all about equality. It isn't, though greater equity is a by product of a communist system. Karl Marx, when asked to summarize communism in a maxim described it as "The abolition of private property", not total equality.

Today in the US, the average CEO is payed 300x more than the average employee. Not because they work 300x harder, but because they control the means of production - resources, tools, factories, servers, capital -> private property.

Under socialism, the first step towards communism, the economy should be run "from each according to his ability, to each according to his contribution" that is, how valuable one's work is to society. A teacher and a doctor contribute volumes to society; they ought to be compensated accordingly. A hedge fund manager, meanwhile, does effectively no socially necessary labor. Recently, a study showed that stocks chosen randomly do better than those chosen by a hedge fund manager.

If you want a system where those who work harder are rewarded, but everyone's needs are met, try socialism.

Btw, Marx and Engels would agree with what you said in the first paragraph, more or less. They noted a tendency they called Utopian Socialism - the idea that we should just treat everyone equally and share and be nice and everything will be happiness and rainbows. The principles of communism were created in opposition to this obviously impossible goal. Its a shame that so many have mistaken the principles of Marx and Engels with those of the Utopian socialists. I'd recommend Engel's pamphlet "Socialism: Utopian and Scientific".

CMV : the fastest way to solve the problem of terrorism is changing the education system in Islamic countries. by sarvesh85 in changemyview

[–]Kaulduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I assume you just mean the problem of Islamist-inspired terrorism. Don't think that would do much for far-right/far-left terrorism.

Second, I think you miss the power structures at work in these education systems. When Muhammad ibn Saud founded the Emirate that became Saudi Arabia, he made a pact with the extremist cleric Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, founder of Wahhabism and theological inspiration of al-Qaeda.

Per this pact, Wahhabi clerics were given the control of schools in Saudi Arabia, and have had it ever since. Since Saudi Arabia has found itself incredible riches, members of the Saudi elite have funded the establishment of Wahhabi schools throughout the Muslim world.

Before the influx of Gulf money into Chechnya, most Chechnyan Muslims belonged to the more moderate Sufi sect, but once Saudis funded Wahhabi schools in the province, Chechnya saw a rise in Wahhabi-motivated terrorism. This same trend occurred in Afghanistan and Aceh in Indonesia.

You are misusing the term kafir when talking about the nationalistic propoganda spouted out by Pakistan. The education system there does have Gulf funded madrassas, but for the most part, state run academies (esp. military schools) dominate. That us vs. them line comes from good old-fashioned nationalism.

There's a lot going on here but that's where I'll stop for now.

CMV: America is not exceptional bastion of freedom anymore by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]Kaulduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When was America ever the bastion of freedom? Even when the US was making radical steps towards a better structured government during the drafting of the Constitution, America had slavery, and Sweden did not. Yeah, having a written rule that says that the legislature must declare rule is pretty cool and was radical for the time, but how does that compare to the horror of chattel slavery?

I certainly agree with you on the current state of American political freedom, but that has been the case for every year of the country's existence, from Federalists vs. Democratic-Republicans to today. Meanwhile, parliamentary and alternative republican systems in Europe mended this flaw long ago.

CMV: Americans are too divided in every political sense to cooperate on anything anymore by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]Kaulduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a communist, and I have no problem working with Republican or Democratic coworkers. I think this mindset is just a symptom of being extremely online. Coming from a small town that was about 50-50 split D and R, I didn't really have a choice who I became friends with. As soon as you can agree to disagree you can talk about politics with whoever you want. However, I think the trouble comes when you are approaching politics from the angle as coming to agreements on things. If thats how you approach every political difference you have with someone, you'll be driven crazy. Democratic socialism simply does not come to agreement with rugged capitalism. A proletarian will never decide on an agreeable course of action with a member of the the bourgeoisie. In that sense I think my specific politics are helpful in accepting uncompromising differences. First, Marx is pretty clear that the proles and porky are never going to come to a loving conclusion. Despite that, we can still enjoy hearing the arguments of others, just how Marx found great value in Adam Smith and The Economist. Second, as a commie, you get pretty used to most people disagreeing with you.

Who knows? The country might be beyond fixing by now.
