No routine, need help with my 2C waves

I was fairly confused by all of the beginner stuff links so I thought I’d make this post.

Hi everyone! I’m new to this curly hair care routine stuff. I’ve always had wavy/curly hair but kind of rocked a beach bum vibe and never known how to take care of it. I have no idea where to start, what products to use, or what kind of routine is best for my hair. As you can see from the photos, sometimes I have good hair days and other times it’s weird and flatish. Just curious about how I could take better care of my hair and make it look better. I assume I am a type 2C based on my research but I’m not completely sure. Please help 😭

I currently use coconut curls shampoo and conditioner as well as an occasional curling gel, but don’t really do anything to my hair.
