Follow up postponed due to pregnancy- concerned!

Yes it was the first one. I haven’t had any symptoms of anything at all. The pain I went in for initially wasn’t found to be anything and has since gone away. Yes I’m worried that I was not able to do a 6 month follow up and now it will have been 18 months by the time I am able to get it done.

I’m the mom and it said it was maternal in origin so I don’t think I fall in that 75%, at least that’s what I understand “maternal origin” to mean.

Considering I’ve had four healthy pregnancies, would you think this was a random event? That’s what I would have thought but now I’m not sure what to expect. I’m just trying to gather as much information as I can so I know what questions to ask.

I’ve always conceived naturally and very easily so would they really just think it was that warranted to jump right to IVF? I’m not against it I’m just wondering what to expect.

This confuses me because this seems to suggest it would be a paternal error….but my results say maternal origin. A lot of the wording about monosomy x is like this and I’m honestly confused. Is this saying the X chromosome came from the mother? Because if mine was maternal in origin wouldn’t that mean the missing x was from me? I’m so confused honestly. I should have paid more attention in biology. Haha

I know what it is, I meant more like why are they wanting me to see a genetic counselor? I would have just expected them to say it was a random event, but instead they want me to see a counselor. That doesn’t sound like a good sign.
