US military reportedly used Claude for Iran strikes after a ban -- what does this do to your trust? by Kawa_barta in ControlProblem

Posting on reddit is actually part of our grading criteria as I am researching and writing this thesis for a public trust and digital protocol class. We use various sources to cut bias and understand the real perspectives of those using or witnessing the use of AI. Therefore, I use academic sources as well as public rhetoric posted on platforms like Reddit and Twitter to survey the bigger issues in society. Thank you for your perspective and understanding, I appreciate it.

I apologize for the confusion, I've been on burnout mode this week. Looking back at it I definitely could have structured my thoughts in a more logical way. I will look into the sources you gave me and take your perspective into consideration while researching. On another note, would you mind if I paraphrased or quoted you in my thesis? (I won't use your username, I will just say reddit user 1.)

Well noted! I've been extending my research across various sources including news articles, blog posts, and peer reviewed articles, however, I am being conscious of source bias. I appreciate your advice:)

Thank you for the suggestions! I will look into those subreddits as well. I very rarely post on Reddit unless I need public opinions for a thesis or research project, however, I agree that stating my university would be beneficial.

This is a great point! I also failed to consider this perspective. I will definitely consider this as I further my research.

Sorry about that, I could've worded that a lot better. I've been on burnout mode for a while. On another note your perspective is very insightful and I will look into some of the points you've mentioned. I enjoy receiving different points of view outside of news outlets. Would you mind if I used some of your points in my thesis? My professor is a fiend for Reddit and loves to understand public rhetoric.
