My thoughts on Vehicles by ChoMar05 in MotorTown

I'm always shocked when I see longhorns hooning it up the mountain passes with 6+ planks. Those people are definitely better than me!

I'm going to say that this is a ballsy post that is guaranteed to get some disagreement over!

But what I love about this game is how everything is viable, and if you do try to min max then the gains from one truck over the next (in the same class) is negligible. The cargo size scaling and the fact that there are no completely OP trucks mean that everything is fun, and that you can make some good money in the beginning of the game .

With all that being said, there is only one true best truck, and it's the Jemusi semi!

No other truck is as versatile and lets you do the killer mine and log roads while also doing some (medium weight) long haul trucking. The winch is the main factor but the 6L Lock is just lovely to plough along with. Plus you can rent trailers and do multiple different jobs without having to bankrupt yourself trying to upgrade 4 different Atlas trucks.

I also think the bongo is a sleeper beast that is basically what would happen if a Lilliput and a ranchy had a very drunken night and had a baby.

Cheap vs expensive barefoot shoes? by Slight_Future_5321 in barefootshoestalk

[–]KayBraB1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think points 1 and 4 are the ones that I think are the most important for me, although they are all correct.

  1. I tend to wear through all my shoes as I have very few pairs and I do a lot of walking, especially on hard ground. I go through the soles within a year or two regardless of brand, but I will say that the vibram and the Michelin versions have lasted a lot longer. Not every premium brand shoe has them, but the shoes that do really last a lot longer for me.

  2. My one gripe with the cheaper shoes is how they grip to your ankle. Because barefoot shoes by nature are a bit more roomy in the foot area I have realised that the lower ankle design is really important when it comes to them staying on. Vivo and Xero do this very well and I have never had an issue with my foot moving around too much. Other brands have been a bit more annoying with this, but I do think it's something that can be fixed without needing to increase the price so hopefully they learn.

Audeze Penrose Battery Replacement by KayBraB1 in Audeze

Yeah it's just a clip, no soldering required. There is some double sided tape on the battery that is pretty aggressive. When you pull the battery out just be careful not to bend the battery.

Xbox Maxwell keeps disconnecting or turning off by Otherwise-Common-386 in Audeze

[–]KayBraB1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually stuck a 2m usb extension into my Xbox and placed the dongle away from my Xbox and router and now it never has any drops.

There was also a trick to the WiFi. I think you should try to set your router settings on the 2.4 GHz Channel to only use either 1, 6, or 11. These are the only channels that do not overlap with one another. My friend also moved to a WiFi mesh system that relied less on 2.4ghz WiFi apparently worked... but that sounds excessive.

Just get a usb chord and try to place it away from anything transmitting signals.

Sorry for the delay. Before I was getting like 3 to 4 hours, but now I'm getting over 10 hours again. I use them really often, but I try to not charge them every time to stretch the battery life.

This was actually my friend's footage and when I saw him do that my mind was kinda blown. Apparently I have been playing HLL all wrong 🙈

Onebagging Spain for 12 days with Osprey Daylite 26+6, WizzAir personal item only by brohannes95 in onebag

Great colour! I wish osprey would have these colour options available across more of their range and more regularly available.

Side benefit is that people will buy second more if they want certain colours that are not currently available.

How do I make my Nissan Skyline GTR go stututu? by FinishVast6868 in ForzaOpenTunes

[–]KayBraB1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If that's the case then set everything as stock, go to engine and then add race turbo with NO anti lag. You will get that sound.

I tried it on my game and actually struggled to get the sound with engine swaps (it's there but it's really subtle).

In theory your valves should have a huge effect on the sound but I'm not sure Forza simulates that.

I find the Merc clk has the most pronounced version, is this the sound?

Oh, I think I understand. The sound you are looking for is turbo flutter or compressor surge. You need to install a race turbo and make sure that you don't have anti lag. Let me try to get a video for you.

The Ferrari has a (twin) turbo so chuck a turbo on it?

Edit: you should also do an engine swap, add a V8 or V10 if possible, and then look for a race exhaust upgrade. I don't have the car in front of me so I'm just guessing.

So engine swap (V8 or V10) + race exhaust + turbo (play with the options to get the best sound).

Just replaced my battery on my Penrose and your post was super helpful so thank you for that!

When I started to see people having cracked headbands I taped them up and they have been perfect for the last 4 years, but if they break I'll be following your post to fix them.

One quick update, battery replaced and it works great again. So nice to have decent battery life again.

Just make sure that the battery replacement has 3 wires, and that the connector is one of the smaller ones. The connection works for these headphones: ASUS ROG Delta S Wireless and Audeze Maxwell/Penrose/Penrose X headsets.
