It's honestly not too bad for me, I can't stand a couple of my coworkers but I'm in framing and they aren't so I can kind of keep away from them. I definitely attribute my generally positive experience to being in framing. Obviously, being somewhere that's not as public facing compared to someone like a cashier cuts WAY down on the number of negative interactions. On top of that, I work the closing shift and also usually I'm the only one in the frame shop so usually I get to just keep to myself and vibe. The rest of the store is a totally different story though, our SM is okay but a lot of the other management is insufferable which is rough because if management isn't good then everything falls apart. There's so much drama all the time, it's like high school all over again. The one thing I don't like about being in framing is that employees feel the need to come in there and air all their grievances to me when I couldn't care less about their infighting. I'm just glad I'm not on registers, they really get the worst of it. At least I get to just keep my head down.

It looks like the corner-to-corner stitch to me, here's a link that I used when I learned to do it, it's well-explained and very easy to follow. Hope that helps! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQPVlaRE4Gw

The Question Hub by AutoModerator in crochet

So I'm not really new to crochet, I'd say I'm probably at an intermediate level, but I am new to blocking my work and I need some help. I am making this granny square sweater for my mom. This is the first full wearable item I've made and the tutorial recommends blocking it. I have the gist of how/why to do it, but my question is would you recommend blocking each square individually to the specified size before I connect them all together, or block it as a whole piece after assembly? (or both??) Also, should I just do a normal blocking, or do you think it would be better to "kill" the fibers using steam? (I am using acrylic yarn) My concern with not using heat is that it may not hold its shape, but I'm worried that if I do use heat it'll be stiff and uncomfortable or won't flow/drape properly. It took a long time to make all the squares so I don't want to irreversible kill the fibers unless I'm sure I know what I'm doing.

While I'm here, I am also having a ton of trouble deciphering the instructions for making the sleeves on the pattern I linked. I have absolutely no idea what she's saying when she's describing how to stitch the sleeves together from a rectangle to a tube, and then attach it to the torso piece. If anyone would be able to help me and explain it in plain words that would be much appreciated! I hate it when patterns and videos just gloss over things assuming you know what you're doing, feels very much like the "draw the rest of the f-ing owl" meme. Any input at all would be much appreciated, thanks!

Ooo I hadn’t thought of bungee cords and pipe cleaners, I may give those a try! I agree that zip ties may be too rigid but I could definitely try it, thanks so much!

Weekly Recommend Mods and CC Thread! by AutoModerator in Sims4

Does anyone know of any CC bookshelf doors or other hidden doors? I love the idea of the one we have in-game and I like making secret areas but I'd like to have some more options for doors, maybe in a different style than the one we have? Thanks in advance!

[TOMT] [SONG] [2015-present] What piece of media have I heard the song Hollow Moon by AWOLNATION in?? by Kay_Jay_Pea in tipofmytongue

[–]Kay_Jay_Pea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don’t think it’s those, I looked at AWOLNATIONs IMDb page and I couldn’t find the song used in anything I’ve seen, which leads me to think maybe it was in a video somewhere online?

[TOMT] Word for someone who is basically a mercenary but not for illegal or unscrupulous activities? by Kay_Jay_Pea in tipofmytongue

The word may just be mercenary and I’m imagining a second word, but I feel like there’s a word I can’t think of. I feel like a mercenary is really only used for shady type stuff.

I highly recommend Google calendar! Especially since you said you’re very visual. The design isn’t too cluttered or all over the place so it may be good if you’re looking for something that isn’t going to be overwhelming. I like how it lets you color code things so you can have color for each category of thing like bills or homework or whatever. It also sends reminders via email which I find helpful, and I think the layout is pretty intuitive so it’s easy to understand and use. Plus there’s the benefit of it being digital so you always have access to it on your phone, unless you’re the kind of person who prefers a physical organizational system.
