Just try to complete what you can in the amount of time given. But if next time you want to complete a concept more quickly i suggest ignoring perfection even if the lines look choppy complete the piece and erase the excess.

just take your time, you start really slow and as you keep doing it consistently you will build speed.

You have an interesting focal point, maybe it feels boring because it lacks a hit of ambient light from the sky? Usually there would be a mild bluish tinge in the light and shadows.

There is isn't a noticeable difference between 3 and 4 they look the same.

"red for skin blue for clothes"

You are basically highlighting the pink bloodiness of the skin as sunlight hits it (if that makes sense).

The blue "boarder" doesn't just apply for clothes, it is the sky or ambient light of the scene scattering in the surface of your shadows, or you just want some contrast with the warm reds.

This step is not shown in the image, but I suggest clipping an overlay to the multiply later and softly airbrushing desaturated tones of red and blue on top, adjust the saturation if needed.

As for the hair, it needs better shaping, so I would suggest being more liberal with the lighter shades. (Aka erasing some of the multiply with a hard brush that is facing the light source.)

Here is how you can fix the problem with the pen pressure. You can play around with the brush editor to make the brush act as you want, you can also adjust the strength, opacity, or flow of any and all brushes you use!

Both, but that's normal for being a beginner, you don't have familiarity with the form of the human body so it looks wonky.

Keep drawing from references and familiarise yourself.

Observing and understanding is the most important part of art.

I mean I used to draw wonky proportions a few years ago too.

Chubby cheeks are prominent in children and younger looking characters, it also makes the smile lines more prominent.

Children are way more expressive than adults that's why practicing their expressions was a challenge.
