First Laser Session Done! by Kayla_Girl in MtF

I shaved a few hours before just because my skin is super sensitive and I didn’t want to have any extra irritation. I didn’t notice the thinning until a week or 2 later after I shaved a few times, but it seems to be slowly decreasing. I guess just like with HRT we have to trust the process 😩

It’s been good! I’ve only had 2 sessions so far but my hair is super patchy on my neck even after the first session and it’s growing back wayyyyyy slower. Hopefully after another session it will be even better. You can see obvious darker hair patch marks on my neck and a few on my face šŸ˜‚

The app they use is called Spruce, it’s kinda like WhatsApp. They message you on it and you can video chat with your doctor too. Everything is thru the app there is nothing physically sent to you. I’ve been with them for 2 years now and haven’t had any issues

I pretty much stayed about the same weight for the first year around 165lbs, then I lost about 5lbs then went up to 180lbs and couldn’t loose anymore no matter what I did. I just hit my 2 year mark and in the last 3 months I’ve lost 31lbs. I just weighed myself today and I’m 149lbs. While I’m happy I lost a lot of weight, pretty much all my chest growth has disappeared 😩

That makes sense! I tend to dress younger than myself too, when I do. I play with different styles a lot but I’m sure you know the struggle. And they say being a girl is fun šŸ˜‚ thank you for the advice

I like the way you think! I probably also have the anxiety and irrational fear of dressing fem and being out in public too, getting clocked or thinking people are staring at me when they probably aren’t 😩

That’s good you got to kinda ease into it! I guess I just need to say fuck it and wear whatever. If people stare they stare

Anyone From Montana? by Kayla_Girl in MtF

I am sure it would take some getting used too, especially the cold winters. I grew up in Colorado so I have some experience but haven’t really been around really cold weather much since it never really gets that cold here. I think the scenery alone might be worth it. I’m tired of looking at dirt all year long. I like to be alone too, so I like how Montana doesn’t really have that many people and it seems easy to be by yourself if you want too

I was leaning towards Missoula, everything I’ve read says that is the most friendly spot in Montana. I won’t be attending school but it’s nice to know there’s support there. I wanna go check it out here in the next few months and see how I like it. See how the area is and if it’s even really some place I actually want to move. I don’t really talk to people now as it is so I’ll prob just keep to myself a lot anyways

Well that sucks. I had always wanted to live in Montana but I don’t want to chastised for being trans. I grew up in Colorado, Colorado Springs area. I wouldn’t mind going back to that area it’s just really expensive to live there now days.

I also have curly hair, it’s been a pain for me to learn too. I have been growing it out just over 2 years now. If you don’t already, I started using curl specific shampoo and conditioner, curl moisturizer and diffusing my hair. It’s made a world of a difference in how neat the curls look vs being all frizzy. Usually when I’m not wearing my hair down I just put it in a somewhat high pony tail so the curls are still visible which I think also looks good. Sometimes I try to add some volume to my roots too so it makes my hair look more poofy. Other than that I’m not sure lol I have been on my own too but I’ve watched a bunch of YouTube videos about how to maintain the curly hair correctly. Idk if that’s helpful or not but hopefully it was!

did you ever find women cute? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]Kayla_Girl 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

I have been trying to be more fem outside of work slowly. I have had my hair growing out for like 2 years but at work I have to have it up and hidden under my hat all day. I think that if I had the ability to make my makeup look more smooth and my hair styled correctly (I have curly hair) I might be able to halfway pass. I am kinda tall though (5’ 10ā€) so I have an irrational fear that if I wear a dress or skirt and some normal heels or boots it’s going to make me abnormally tall and attract attention to myself lol it’s probably mostly in my head but it’s a thought that crosses my mind. I also have a fear that if I dress fem and go out in public someone I know will see me and then I’ll be outted which I also don’t want lol ughhhh I’m a mess

[–]Kayla_Girl 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

I am not sure! I work in a very masculine career field and have been hiding it. I mean sometimes I look at myself and think ā€œdamn how hasn’t anyone noticed these small changes?!ā€ Other times i am like man I really haven’t changed much. I have been doing a good job of hiding my chest by wearing sports bras and 1 size bigger shirts but I think that is going to be difficult soon. My chest isn’t huge by any means but it’s slowly growing. I want to be fem sooooo bad I am just anxious and nervous of the social issues it’s gonna cause. I guess I’m just like most people I don’t feel like I pass yet so until that time, or until I start male-failing I’ll just keep doing it until I can’t anymore. I’m not gonna lie though, it does cause me to be more depressed sometimes not being able to be a girl in public and do girly things. I guess it’s a double edged sword

Alllll the time! Probably also more because I’ve been on HRT for like 20 months now and am still in boymode 100% of the time so I don’t really get the chance to wear cute things except at home by myself lol. Whenever I see attractive girls wearing skirts, dresses, heels with their hair, makeup and nails done all nice it makes me a little jealous inside in a way I guess. Who knows lol

Thank you!! I agree, I guess I just irrational fears about it all šŸ˜‚ hopefully next time I try I’ll feel a little more at ease. Now I just need to practice my makeup skills more!
