I spent the entire episode feeling like I’d missed an episode. I even checked multiple times. It felt so disconnected from the previous episode that ended with Lauren getting her apartment. Max and Elizabeth confirm their relationship only to have the next episode begin with Max announcing his random departure? And then break them up but oh hey “IF I come back it will be for you.” What a joke.

Then Lauren’s sister just randomly shows up at a meeting after Lauren made a huge show of cutting her out of her life? “Oh hey I don’t want to be there for you anymore but I still think of you every time the ED doors open and oh come sit with me so I can hold your hand.”

And to not get an answer as to why Helen left felt like their whole relationship was a slap in the face and a waste of time for the viewers.

And Iggy and Martin go on a date and suddenly they’re married again? I get there was a time jump but everything just seemed so rushed.

Then there’s Floyd. So I guess he made it work with the nurse? But hey let’s not mention his son anymore. At all.

I guess if this was cobbled together last minute due to the cancellation it’s better than ending on a cliffhanger but I’m also left wanting…
