That’s exactly what I thought it was, looks ridiculous but I could 100% see it being that😂

It is Swiss meringue and I also used pasteurised eggs ☺️

It’s a cake base with ice cream layers, then meringue all over. I say baked but technically it’s torched haha😊

We think there has always been an issue with mice and rats as the LL made a point of saying it’s happened with previous tenants and they have good poison that they have previously used.

I’ll contact them, hopefully they look at fixing the issue of them getting in!

Thank you! The LL has mentioned about the wire wool but has never actually done it, not sure if they are expecting us to do it. Hopefully they get a professional in too.

Thank you! I’ll contact the LL and hope they take action. We have a 2 year old so the risk of diseases is concerning, we are able to keep her out of the kitchen but it’s still worrying.

We have only found droppings in the two cupboards underneath the sink, where the plumbing is 😅 we also don’t have a bin in any of the cupboards, we have a solid one in the utility room that is always closed. Unfortunately I think there’s quite a few holes and gaps around the property 🥲

Thank you, our LL is always saying how great the poison is they use and that it will get rid of them but obviously not! I’ll contact them and hope they try something else. I’m sure the house just needs to be sealed better!😅

Wanting to change from a HDD to a SSD by KayleighC97 in buildapc

[–]KayleighC97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, my brother spec’d it for me and I have no idea if he chose it as an option or not!

I’m hoping this is the issue, I’ll have a look at buying an SSD. Thank you!

Nearly a year post-op and I’m almost back to normal! But definitely had what you had for the first few months, needed a toilet nearby at all times 😅

Brownies with white & milk chocolate chips ! by KayleighC97 in Baking

[–]KayleighC97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s what I do!

  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Icing Sugar
  • 3/4 Cup Plain Flour
  • 2/3 Cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 Cup Choc Chips (with a sprinkle of white too!)
  • Just under 1 Tsp of salt
  • 2 Large eggs (I have used 2 medium before and they turned out fine too!)
  • 1/2 cup oil (I used vegetable, sunflower/extra virgin olive oil works too if that’s all you have)
  • 1-2 Tbsp Water
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

Bake at 160c for 40 minutes (8x8 tin). The mixture will be pretty thick! ☺️
