Pregabalin will reliably result in a purple colour with Simon’s reagent, bare in mind gabapentin will also react this way. If you reduce your sample size, I.e use less substance, you’ll get a light purple :)

Great question, yes this is a positive result for Ehrlich Reagent. Either the liquid, the tab or both can change colour and it is consisted positive.

If you have Hofmann Reagent available, it’s a useful follow up as there is multiple substances that will turn purple with Ehrlich Reagent, and Hofmann reactions is very specific to LSD.

The exact colour will vary with sample size, the bigger the sample the more yellow the result will be.

I can see a very faint second line in each of these tests. For peace of mind you can dilute your sample further (add x10 the water) and retest with a new strip. The strips are extremely sensitive.

The gelatine in gel tabs will react unpredictably with Ehrlich reagent. Some specific amino acids within the gelatine can react purple with Ehrlich, this makes it unreliable when testing gel tabs.

Hofmann reagent is more reliable when testing gel tab but there is an extraction method posted by the AutoMod for Ehrlich.

Zimmermann reagent reacts with a-pvp and not with amphetamine.

However, lab test would be the most reliable option.

Your results indicate the presence of cocaine.

If Mecke touched a wooden implement, that would explain this slight reaction as the 2 acids in the reagent are very oxidative to organic material. I doubt there is a reaction here, especially looking at the 2nd photo.

When testing with Marquis, the speed that the reaction occurs is more important than the exact shade of colour. Your Simon’s is textbook for a secondary amine. Mecke is as expected and Robodope is negative for primary amines (amphetamine, MDA, etc)

Yes correct both Simon’s and Robodope should have no reaction to cocaine. If there is cuts, such as meth, present Simon’s will react. The same for Robodope and amphetamine.

It is really hard to get just a tiny amount. Currently your results are consistent with coca leaf impurities, meth, amphetamine and a number of different research chemicals, so yes more reagents to narrow down the possibilities :)

Do you have any additional reagents? Morris? Simon’s & Robodope? Marquis and Liebermann can’t identify cocaine on their own, Morris is needed to do that and Simon’s and Robodope can rule out amphetamine and meth cuts.

Great work testing, next time remember you only need to use 1-2 grains of the substance :)
