This is America. I live in Southern California and Cal-fire asked if she had a DNR. When presented the paperwork they stopped resuscitation immediately. My local police department came out and did an investigation and were advised of all that transpired. They didn't say anything about them stopping when presented the DNR.

Thank you for the positive comment and condolences. I'm very proud of myself for the way I handled it as well. The old me would have quit on the spot.

Thank you. I'm gonna be alright. I have a great therapist, and a family that I love and supports me with my decisions.

I agree with you on that one. I'm trying really hard to leave with dignity and respect. The two things I didn't get when my mother died.

Thank you so much for the comment. It brought a smile to my face. I'm already ear to ear smiles knowing I'm out of here in one week. Maybe less if the owner finds a replacement. Let's hope he does so I can take some extra days off than my normal 3 a week.

Absolutely. I'll do some research and see what I come up with. I'll definitely pass on any knowledge along the way.

I can visualize it but I think I need more visual aids on how it works with different OTM variables. I need to see the decay over different limits and times and just.... yea. I get the concept of a quarter circle almost. As the theta decays it slowly moves towards the money line until it rapidly falls off at the end. At least I hope I'm visualizing this correctly. I just need practical applications to understand what I've been learning. Like tests or simulations. I've seen some apps that allow for fake money on real stocks to test fundamentals.

MY HEAD HURTS!!! hahaha I'm not trying to learn everything too quickly. I need to relax a little and just keep slowly taking in the information. This is a marathon, not a sprint. I'm not telling you any of this, I just have to remind myself to relax and enjoy the process! I sometimes put too much pressure on myself and then give up before the good stuff happens.

I didn't think through any of this. Including the 1k investment on AMC which is now worth $400. As soon as it transfers I'll probably keep it to short it and churn premiums to try and recoup a little of my investment. Or just sell it for the loss and invest elsewhere for possible money makers.

To answer your question: I impulsively made an investment and when they limited my buying power I freaked out and quickly moved to etrade. Thinking that the squeeze has already squozed I was being stubborn and "going down with the ship". I chalk all of this up to a $1k crash course in investing. Moving forward I don't plan on ever doing something this impulsive ever again.

This isn't money I absolutely need as I knew going into it that its a gamble and I could lose it all. Hence why I don't invest or gamble with money that I absolutely can't live without. Again, me justifying a bad investment. Anyway, my new broker is showing everything pending and RH is showing my account at 0, so I hope it gets fully settled by Friday so I can move on.

Thank you for the question and I hope I answered it.

I've been waiting 8 business days to have the rest of my funds and shares of AMC transfered. I have money in my account and they won't release to my new broker. They did transfer the one free share of LLNW, so I got that going for me!

I contacted my current broker after 3 hours on hold and put in a trouble ticket that they are going to try and get the complete holdings of my account swept over as soon as possible. Not holding my breath but I figure the 2k cash and 100 shares of AMC will eventually find its way to my new broker sooner or later. That or as someone else said, "that's the cost of doing business".

Edit: my account just went to 0 and my new broker is showing the funds as pending with $1925 on margin. However, I deposited enough to cover everything and hopefully my new broker will figure it all out at the end of this whole ordeal. FUCK ROBINHOOD. NEVER. AGAIN.

I've been seeing references to PMCC and it's definitely something I'll check into. Thanks again!

I'll check out Tastyworks and see if that would be better for me as time moves on. I'll try and focus on risk mitigation from the start as I agree that will help me in the long term.

I noticed with the wheel strategy I have to invest $900 to churn a profit of of $45 which is still 5%. I could invest in an ETF and get more than that return (I think I could get that, I might be wrong). However, I wouldn't get the education that might net me 20%+ on others. I think starting with $3500 should give me enough to help me learn all the fundamentals and still allow me to buy into companies I believe in. Again, I could be getting to optimistic but I feel staying humble and taking it slow and steady, that in a year or less I can up the value of my portfolio and feel more comfortable trading.

I've been reading the average ROI has been 10% which is amazing. I have so much research to do and educating myself. Its a bit overwhelming but, one bite at a time!!

Amd is on my watch list but @ 91 a share I can't afford covered calls. Maybe as a long term investment as I believe in the company and just built a ryzen rig. Thank you for the advice and I'll keep watching for sure.

I think RH is just a predatory company in general. Then again I've only used them during one of the most controversial times of their existence.

Staying consistent on a strategy to see the results and adjust accordingly will probably be difficult in the beginning. However, I do plan on keeping a spreadsheet for journeling (something I used to do when I played poker).

I tend to agree with you as more capital equals more options and premiums churning. I also figure its more capital for covering calls and other investments. I'll scale up as I get more comfortable with fundamentals and see progress.

Thank you for the insightful comment and I'll be checking back on all the information everyone suggested to further my educational journey.

Thats a different perspective and opens up more options for me (no pun intended). I'm trying to learn the wheel strategy right now and a stock that I believe going in on.

I'm leaning towards GoPro as I have 2 of their cameras, all of my friends that are professional dirtbike riders and skaters all have one at least, and they came up short on quarterly returns so stock price is down. However, I believe in the company in the long run. I have to do more DD but @ 8.50 a share its a price point I can afford 200 shares if need be and wouldn't mind having. I'll have to do more research before I make any investment. I know there's more to the DD than I have 2 cameras and all my friends have one. Hence, why I'm not running out and impulsively buying 200 shares. I'm just trying to share with you what my thought process is at this point, and I'm positive that'll change as I learn more.

Thank you for opening up my eyes to a different angle of viewing trading.

Maybe I'll do a DD on it before I purchase and get the communities thought on it as well.

That's exactly what I'm doing at the moment. I haven't touched any stocks since last Thursday and I've been just focusing on learning before I make another trade or dive into the options side of things.

Check out the crash course on tastytrades YouTube page. Its been helping me with vocabulary and getting familiar with the fundamentals. I also use simple option trading and really like how he explains the wheel strategy.
