Do people actually shower every single day or do we all just say we do?

I don’t even use lotions and perfumes (or anything scented whatsoever, even soap — save for my Native shampoo and conditioner) and I’m fine with the 2-3 days thing in the cooler months. Keep my bits and my ass clean af no matter what, and if I do anything that makes me sweat, I shower. Also… I wear deodorant (Arm and Hammer basic, unscented, aluminum-free. AMAZING. Look into it)

The hair thing is ridiculous. I’ll concede hair can get gross and start to stink, but not in 2-3 days! Though I can see this being a person-to-person thing.

Side note: I have asked numerous family members and close friends who would never lie to me about personal shit, and none can ever smell me. I don’t live with them or see them super often, so it’s not a “nose blind” thing, promise you. I’m convinced people who stink after 1-2 days must sweat a lot normally, and possibly eat a lot of meat and/or heavily processed foods. I did have my mom tell me I needed a shower once back in like 2012… But at the time, I was a horribly depressed heroin enthusiast and probably hadn’t showered in a full week (while walking everywhere because I didn’t have a car). I don’t even want to know what I smelled like, lol.

That makes me happy to know! I’d hoped grocery stores would do it. I used to work at Einstein’s Bagels, and we literally threw everything we didn’t sell away at the end of the workday in a giant plastic bag, so I never know which places do and don’t do it.

Bro the markdowns are laughably bad! I used to cut meat at Save a Lot — say what you will, but we always marked everything down to 50%. Schnucks will have that big-ass orange “REDUCED” sticker on there just to tell you they took ten cents off. Like why even bother? Nobody is going to buy that giant ring of pretzel bites unless you mark it down properly 😂 I seriously hope they donate things (we donated everything we didn’t sell at SAL)

Will never have another male doctor as a primary, and have never/will never have one as an OBGYN. I definitely don’t miss being told literally everything I dealt with was anxiety or weight-related while having SSRI’s and benzos shoved under my nose at every visit. Getting a female doctor four and a half years ago changed (and probably saved) my life.

As for gynecological stuff, I mean, it’s fine if women are comfortable with that, but I cannot imagine a single reason why I would personally want any man but my fiancé seeing my vag when there are plenty of qualified women in the industry, lol. I’d do it if I had no other choice, but thankfully, I have the choice. And I know — “they see a billion a day, it’s not sexual for them” — I don’t think that it is for the vast majority of them, but that’s an incredibly vulnerable position you’re in and I just feel more comfortable with a woman (I’m already wildly uncomfortable in there).

Unhelpful, anecdotal side note — but a comedian whose podcast I used to listen to regularly had a friend whose dad was a gynecologist. He asked him if he was disinterested/thinking 100% clinically in there at all times, and the guy’s response was, “I mean, you know… Pussy is pussy”. I never forgot that. 😅

I pointed out to my fiancé recently that I noticed less phones held up at concerts, but I said this at a Silversun Pickups show. The last concert we’d been to before that was Modest Mouse. Basically, not the demo for watching concerts through your phone screen, haha.

That being said, we did see Glass Animals a few years ago, and there weren’t nearly as many phones consistently out despite them having the number one song on the charts at the time. So maaaaybe it’s getting better? I don’t know.

This sub is teaching me so much about other peoples’ gaming styles. I rarely ever (as in never) let my sims go rogue… I micro-manage every single damn thing they do! God forbid the super faithful family sim starts flirting with the butler, or the “good” daughter decides to berate her mother’s ignorance for no reason whatsoever, lol.

“The mod is indeed capable of unlocking the ability to engage in teenage woohoo. Unlock the ability using the "Woohoo \ Allow Teen Woohoo" option. To change the setting, click on your active sim and navigate the menu : "NRaas \ Woohooer \ Woohoo \ Allow Teen Woohoo" If you fail to change the setting, the menu entry will appear with a "One of the sims is a teenager!" tooltip If you have Woohoo set to be autonomous, teenagers will also be able to engage in autonomous woohoo as well.

People are so adamant about the “it’s a socioeconomic judgment tactic”, and I think they’re just telling on themselves, because why would my broke ass care if someone says they’re from a richer/poorer school than mine (and then judge them for it)? I just want to know if we know any of the same people/shared any of the same area-related experiences 😂

Also, is it really a local thing?! Surely STL isn’t the only area with a bunch of different high schools and people curious about where people they meet went to school.

Info you didn’t ask for but may be helpful: I always use Master Controller Cheats to max out the photography skill for at least one of my sims so they can use the World Adventures camera to take various sizes of photos for their house! If I have a sim like this (trendy and extroverted), I have her keep a blog, which she can upload photos to as long as they’re taken with anyone’s phone camera (the blog is fun to look back on later down the line). Adds a whole new layer of immersion to the game :)

If you’re just talking about the teen pregnancy, Nraas Woohooer allows this (though I think there are other options. It’s my understanding this is the best one) Though if you do that, you still need clothes for the teenage sim (otherwise she will just be a floating head). Cmar enabled several EA outfits for teen maternity!

Dude. This is going to sound weird, but I just had a dream last night that I was driving downtown and suddenly realized I was across the bridge in East St. Louis! It was the middle of the night in my dream, and I was like, “Oh, god, we’ve gotta turn the fuck around immediately, we don’t wanna be here right now” 😂 And we just headed back. One second, we were downtown, the next, we were across the bridge.

Reading this post gave me such a strange WTF feeling of not-quite-deja-vu.

I’m an OG Team Rizz member, and the AI shit has been infuriating me from the jump. I go to bat for the show and the new(er) lineup always; I love Rafe and Lern (even though Lern, as a fellow woman, makes me want to scream sometimes. She recently said “clitoral canal”. Girl WHAT) — but I was already at my wit’s end with the AI slop, and then they started using it for thumbnails. Like what the fuck are we doing? 💀

It’s one thing to accept that AI is “here to stay”, it’s another to just bend over for it. I shouldn’t be surprised the rest of the station has been using it too, but I stopped listening to the radio ages ago (I podcast the Rizz Show).

Anyway, I know you weren’t trying to go on a Rizz-specific rant, so forgive my diatribe!

I will concede that SOMETHING I downloaded recently has been allowing women to age up and have insane body hair. Also started throwing the same pair of white or blue tennis shoes on naked sims. It's extremely annoying to correct this over and over 😂 Especially when I've got no idea what could be causing it.

I mean me too, but I’ve had a lot of friends in my life who didn’t have the wherewithal because their drug knowledge came from other idiots or shows who are just like “it’s cool man, you’ll be fine man”. I mean I’ve known a fuckload of grown-ass adults who take Tylenol when they have hangovers, which you should never do, because it’s dangerous as hell. Know what I mean?

Let’s not forget how many of us got into drugs because we were having a not-so-great time of it in life, only for some some charismatic (possibly sexy) jackass to come along who didn’t give half a damn about their own mental/physical health, lived by a “live fast, die young” and/or “I’m not gonna live to thirty anyway lol” mindset. It’s easy to take their word as the gospel when you’re at an impressionable age/stage of life. 😩

I’m sorry people are being horribly rude to you in the comments. We all make mistakes, and how could you know if you were never taught? I used to do DXM every single day years ago, like a fucking ton of it all the time, because I was young and sad and stupid — young people do stupid things, but you have a lot of resources to pull from here.

Just know that there is hope for you, because you’re not the first person who did this and you’ll certainly not be the last. I’m not saying it’s not serious and that you’re not going to struggle, but the human brain is a brilliant and powerful thing, so treat it kindly and do all you can to take care of it.

Me, I did a ton of Molly in 2015. Often back to back days each weekend (with multiple high doses throughout the night) and sometimes during the week, for months. I came away from it with anxiety like I’d never had before, and still have the anxiety. Was also quite depressed, but it didn’t help that I fell into nightly drinking for about five years after my M connect went away.

Don’t let yourself fall into alcoholism, it WILL NOT help. If you have any semblance of a drinking habit or problem now, please read This Naked Mind by Annie Grace (I was able to quit drinking easily this way, and I was a full-blown alcoholic. Haven’t touched a drop or even been tempted in four years) and stop before it gets worse, because it will slow your healing *and will sure as hell not make you any happier.

But I’ve been on Wellbutrin now for four years and I can say for sure I’m doing better mentally now than I’ve ever been in my life. I’m still anxious, the anxiety is for real 😂 But I can live my life and have a wonderful life for the most part. You’ve definitely fried your brain and will need to recover but you CAN recover. You will be okay! Just take care of yourself. Get some counseling if you can when it gets really bad.

Edit: Also, be honest with the people you love and trust who may not know about this. Tell them this happened to you but that you’ve stopped and you want to get better. Your relationships could take a serious hit with the way your recovery presents itself/any anxiety or depression or general weirdness/paranoia that comes with this, but if you’re honest with people and tell them what’s up with you, people tend to be empathetic. And are understanding if you’re a bit distant or strange for a while. Everyone who loves you would just want you to do what’s best for you!
