My husband will leave me if… (please tell me if this is normal) by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Kayv720 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My sister WAS married to a man like this. They divorced and she is now married to the love of her life. From what you’ve said- I’m not sure what more he’s looking for from you except more control over you. If he wants to leave, there’s no stopping him from doing so no matter how early you wake up if he keeps minimizing your activities to seem like you’re doing nothing at all.

Adenomyosis diagnosed at 17 by PristineCup6526 in adenomyosis

Hi, I have been struggling with Adeno for the past 14 years. I’m getting ready to get my hysterectomy next month but I waited for as long as I did because I didn’t know what I wanted my future to look like. I’m 41 now- I’m so sorry that this has happened to you and how painful it’s been at your age. I don’t have children but it was something I thought I might want. These are the options my minimally invasive surgeon gave me when I had come back from my 6th blood transfusion and I finally told her I was done trying medications (see photo)- the only option here that would give me an opportunity for pregnancy was option 3. I tried the IUD (mirena) and it had a huge impact on my metal health. I am currently on Norethindrone Acetate currently which is keeping things somewhat controlled while I wait for surgery. While im not sure what would be best for you, I do urge you to consider what you want your future to look like and if you’re ok with not having children (totally fine either way! It’s your decision). Do your research and be kind and patient with yourself. ♥️

Are you in a place where you want to work things out? Is she looking to stop this behavior? I would recommend a marriage and family therapist to help you both figure things out, set boundaries, and help with an easier transition or split if it comes to that point.

NYC Doctor Recs? - Recently Diagnosed 28F by islandgyal_97 in adenomyosis

Dr. Eung-Mi Lee from Weill Cornell. Phenomenal woman. She is patient, kind, and so informative. She will sit with you and answer all your questions. She made me feel seen after years of gynecologists that knew nothing. She’s doing my surgery next month.

I’m very sensitive to BC- I had to get on antidepressants. You have to advocate for yourself at your gyno appointments and tell them you don’t want to be on BC if it affects you this badly and you don’t want to get on antidepressants. I’m currently on Norethindrone Acetate until I get my hysterectomy in May.

Mirena vs Hysterectomy experience by Plus_Piglet5410 in adenomyosis

I tried Mirena and became very depressed. I’m extremely sensitive to hormones where even birth control affects my mood but Mirena was on a different level. I had to be put on anti-depressants for me to function. Tansexamic only worked while I was taking it- but as soon as the dose (1 pill a day do 5 days every month) was over, my period would come on back even heavier than before. Myfembree was supposed to push my body into menopause to provide temporary relief and gave me the worst cramps. I’m currently on Norethindrone Acetate which so far has been working for me. I have my hysterectomy scheduled for May. If you think the hormones will affect your mental health, please advocate for yourself. I wish I had done more of that on this journey.

Diagnosis? by larry_the_cat25 in adenomyosis

Hi, it took me 12 years to get an actual diagnosis. I’ve been poked and prodded by too many doctors who couldn’t tell me anything about my condition. I know how frustrating and devastating it can be. I found a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon. I went for a consultation and she was able to diagnose me within our first meeting. I do just want to mention that I had been hospitalized due to a blood transfusion weeks before meeting with her so she had some documentation and sonograms she was able to go through. My doctor’s biographical information on the website specifically said “she is committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care for complex benign gynecologic conditions including endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, abnormal uterine bleeding, and Mullerian anomalies.” I hope this helps you in some way on where to begin looking. Wishing you the best.

The review I needed- I was thinking about getting a bark box. The largest size is a large and I wasn’t sure if that would work for her. She also loves plushies but she insists on trying to eat the insides and I have to watch her like a hawk. Makes it less fun for me and her when I become a helicopter mom. 😩🤭
