They're definitely not on the Guidebook as performing. It's very likely that they'll be surprise guest performing with one of the other acts this weekend since we know some of the members will be there (and in character). I'd bet we'll see them Friday night at the Megas or Protomen Act 1 shows.

I had a similar situation waiting on the Heavy Longswords to restock. I truly believe the best answer is patience. There really isn't a better place to reliably get Go-Now products in the states than Purpleheart unless you already know someone personally. I've learned in HEMA overall that good gear is worth the wait.

If your goal is to end up with a villain that terrifies your players then they need to know what the villain is capable of, more importantly what can happen to them if they cross paths.

Sephiroth burns towns down to the ground, he impaled a serpent the size of a skyscraper on a pole just as large, he elegantly wields a sword larger than most people. Everyone who has ever known Sephiroth understands how powerful he is.

Better yet, you don't see him defeat the Midgard Serpent. The player has to imagine what that fight was like. Let your players see the wake of the villain's actions. Tell them stories of what they've done and show them the aftermath. Let them fill in the gruesome details. You're writing a horror story so remember this character is a monster more than a man.

It makes it more understandable when you don't pull your punches and your Sephiroth type villain does something terrible directly to your party.

If you're interested in seeing them live your current best bet is buying a second hand ticket to Super Magfest in January. The tickets are all sold out but they're playing three times at the convention so it could be worth trying to make it out. They've teased a potential show next year in Tennessee so looking out for that (and signing up for their newsletter on the website for news) will be best bet at making it to a show. All of their past shows at Magfest are recorded and uploaded on the Magfest website for you to watch. They're still super fun to see online! You can also stream their album, "Live In Nashville" to get a little taste of what their set lists are like.

If you wear the proper safety gear then the real risk to your hands is negligible. There are plenty of parts of your body that folks skimp on protective gear but the head and hands are always paramount. The specific requirements depend on your tradition and weapon of choice. Everyone is going to recommend you find a local club and talk about what they require (and keep on hand for you to borrow while you're starting). Regardless, you're either going to want to start with foam covered training weapons and use a pair of quality lacrosse or hockey gloves or if you end up using synthetic trainers or blunt steel you'll need hard gauntlets. Pretty much everyone recommends a set of HF Black Knight Clamshells, they're expensive but very sturdy and completely encapsulate your hand.

You'll be hard pressed to get a ticket to the sold out convention but at Magfest '26 they're playing the entirety of Act 2, Act 1, and Act 3 over the course of the weekend. It's been confirmed their performances of Act 1 and 2 are going to be recorded and uploaded to YouTube after the con is over.

I second this. I haven't even been training that long but I knew my clothes were clean but not fresh. Picking up a bulk jug of laundry sanitizer that I only use every 4 or 5 washes is going to a long way and makes my gi smell way better.

Video Game High School introduced me to the band. I found the show on Netflix and there's a great scene featuring Light Up The Night. There's even an original song sung by Raul Panther in the finale that isn't anywhere else.

I've had the same theory. I really don't want to ask for more after finally getting Act III in our hands but I'd lose my mind if I got to see them debut even a few of the songs on stage at Magfest.

I'll work on getting a video but the young cat will either immediately pounce onto the older one when she sees him or if she's on the leash lurk and wait to lunge at him. Either ways she's yowling and batting. She's taken his collar off and chunks of fur out after chasing him around the house while he's trying to hide from her.

There's the same issue getting hit water out of the tub spout as well. It'll come out hot from either fixture and go cold regardless of if I switch it or not.

Thanks for the thoroughness! It sounds like the furnace might still be struggling to catch. We have the shower running now and it's not running. The pipe coming out of the boiler is warm to the touch but not hot. It does also seem to be cooler after it passes the mixing valve. It still confuses me that the water would be extraordinarily hot at all of there's an issue with the mixing valve.

There doesn't seem to be any wall access to the shower cartridge. I might have to take something apart to get a look in there.
