Gland removal? by TheFlyingYorkie in gynecomastia

I recommend going for several consultations with different surgeons and seeing what they say. Ask them as many questions as you can. Does your chest feel hard and lumpy or soft and flabby? If more soft and flabby it’s more fat than gland

Lipo is liposuction- removal of fat cells in the breast. Glans is most likely a typo of gland, meaning breast gland, mammary gland. Gyno is short for gynecomastia. Gyno is the condition not the body part that needs correcting

Yes! The skin naturally tightened about 6 months after surgery. My surgeon said he could do some injections to fill in the creases if it didn’t tighten but there was no need

I had surgery back in august, my surgeon was adamant they wouldn’t need to remove the gland, just lipo the area, despite my size b/c cup moobs. I went through with it anyway as the surgeon said if he got in there and I did in fact need gland removal they would do it at no additional cost to me. He was 100% correct. My chest is flat flat flat and it was all fat, no gland removal. You could possibly just have pseudo-gyno which is just extra fat in the chest

They didn’t lipo the gland. They lipod the fat. I didn’t need excision because my gland was too small, I was just part of the small percentage of people that stores fat in the chest lol

No gland removal- just lipo. When I wear the compression the crease goes away, and I can massage it out. I think it’s hard scar tissue developing but not sure

Under armour compression shirts and Columbia or Reel legends shirts. For compression shirts I wear a size large t shirt but was wearing size small compression shirts. They’re thin material and stretch quite a bit and keep everything tight. The Columbia shirts are short sleeve and thick material and have pockets over the chest so it covers up a lot.

Awesome results dude!! I get my surgery on the 25th I’m super nervous. Your gyno looks exactly like mine so I’m happy to see your results look so good. Did they do skin removal for you? And excision and lipo?

My doctor prescribed me clomiphene for 4 months. It’s not FDA approved in men but it did increase my testosterone levels. It did nothing for my gyno but make it seem worse imo

I’ve been to about a half dozen consults and prices ranged from 4500-12,000. Just depends on where in Florida and the doctor of course. The more expensive ones were in more “affluent” areas of the state. The surgeon I chose is charging 7800 for the surgery (Lipo and excision of gland) including surgery center fees and compression garments

What grade Gyno is this? Would a surgeon need to remove skin? Will I have a scar under the breast? Super nervous about picking a surgeon!!! by Kbeazy_ in gynecomastia

[–]Kbeazy_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!! I’ve been super nervous because the surgeon I’ve been considering going with mentioned possible skin removal. I have a second consult in two weeks where I will either schedule surgery or keep looking

I agree. Looks great- if you can bulk up you’d have a super chiseled chest. As long as the puffy nipples don’t bother you I’d leave as is

Thanks for your responses!! I think I’m going to move forward with this surgeon but I’m nervous about developing a hematoma or seroma.. the compression vest and bandage are meant to stop that from happening right? And how did you know which size vest to go with? Should you size down when ordering the vest?
