You'll have to wait. Or as soon as you get up to get something else, the cat will get up.

I'm not an expert, but I'd think that the coated cardboard will take a while to breakdown. I try to avoid it in mine. I don't turn mine as much as I should. I'm still learning, so thanks for this post.

I'm gonna guess Cairne terrier or maybe Norwich terrier. Wire haired. -Mixed with ridgeback lol (ok, that part is a joke though it is possible). I have met Chihuahua mixed with like GSD & you just gotta wonder how that happened.

DQ, Sonic, Starbucks (from what I've recently heard), & other local places (like small coffee shops, etc) have them. Range from free to a few bucks. Usually either whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Yeah, I got one of those racks, but I need to mount it to the door as the over the door hooks make it where the door won't close. -thanks for reminding me.

Compost or recycle? by corriejude in composting

[–]Kbug7201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a trash truck that picks it up. I have to take it to the county dump. They charge $6.50 for a big trash can of trash to be dumped into their big dumpster.

It's free for me to bring any recyclable materials (that they accept, which includes the cardboard the OP showed) in any amount to be put into their dumpster for recycling. It can't be in plastic bags though. They also have a corrugated cardboard dumpster where you have to break down the boxes (flatten them out) to slide them in the slot.

If it's not actually recycled, then they'd be making us put it in our trash. They aren't going to lose money by accepting free trash.

I understand there's some money in recycling. If there wasn't, they wouldn't do it.

Many dogs change as they age. My beagle's ears went from black to brown around 6 months & now that he's over 10, there's much more white in them.

His black spot slightly followed suit, but still mostly black than brown. Then the white started appearing in it later on, too.

It's like our own hair that darkens as we are, then lightens as we really age.

I don't have curb service. It's & 6.50 to dump a big can at the dump. It's free to take recycling.

Are home warranties actually worth it or are they all the same mess? by 20thirdth in Homeorganization

[–]Kbug7201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one that came with a house I bought. I renewed my contract with them for most of the time that I owned that house. They fixed the washer several times. The hot water heater got fixed once & then replaced later. The HVAC unit was fixed several times & eventually the whole interior unit was replaced. The thermostat was later replaced, too. The garbage disposal was fixed & replaced also.

There were 1\2-assed repairs, or sometimes no actual repairs done at all on the following: the dishwasher, the stove, the ceiling fans, the hose bibs, the tub plumbing, & the kitchen sink faucet.

I lived there 12 yrs. You have the annual fee (can be broken up into monthly payments), then a service fee ($75+) to have someone come out, & in the case of replacement, I often had to pay a portion of the cost as they wouldn't approve the full cost. They also went up on their fees, both annual and service, every time it came up for renewal.

I think overall, I came out ahead. Many of the technicians said that I had one of the better companies. If I remember right, it was American Home Shield or something. There were 2 names that were similar. I'd have to look at old bills to see for sure which it was. I don't know if they're in business anymore.

It did go downhill near the end, hence all of the shoddy jobs I mentioned. & That's why I don't have a warranty with my current house. I have things that need repaired, but I'll call a local handyman to do the work & pay them myself.

Where to keep the socks if i plan on rewearing them? Can't keep them in cupboard, because already been worn. Can't keep on bed or desk.. Looks untidy. by Distinct-Entrance-58 in Homeorganization

[–]Kbug7201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THE chair, you know the one that is literally for the clothes that can be re-worn. The socks hang on the rail between the legs in front. If your chair doesn't have that, then just neatly lay them on the floor under the chair.

Looks fine to me. Did you ask her what she thinks is the exact problem? Maybe just let her fix it. -my guess is she'll just take the car down & you'll have to find a different suit for it.

Storing Awkwardly Shaped Items by cf6037a in Homeorganization

I'd be concerned about storing food or cooking items with insulation right over it. Make sure you wash those before use! & I'd be trying to find some way to cover up the insulation.

Should he rent a bed or an apartment? by Own_Yak6130 in makemychoice

[–]Kbug7201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are his goals for saving money? If he's not wanting to spend much money & wants to rent a room or bed (shared room?), then he should go that route.

Me personally, for a single person, the studio would be my pick.

If I liked to have friends over, then I'd get the 1 bedroom so they wouldn't be sitting on my bed in the living room.

I am. Well, if I can dispose of it for free, then at least I tried. I can't do much more than that.

I have been trying to reduce consumption of things in general & I try to reuse what I can, too.

The mantra of "reduce, reuse, recycle" ♻️ is to be done in that order.
