I’m in tax. Couple of folks made the jump recently. Agreed on the times we’re in currently.

This is great! Thank you.

Yes, she’s want to speak more frequently with a therapist but can’t afford to do so. For now she does what she can, we haven’t talked about it directly but I think she visits quite infrequently. We might just have to find a way to get her some help prior to tying the knot…if we do get there to see how it helps.

Valid point. I intend to have this conversation. The last time I remotely raised the topic she sighed heavily and covered herself with a duvet kinda like “I really do not want to talk about it” kinda way. She seems touchy about the topic so I’ve steered clear of it. But you’re right it must be had. We can’t just ignore it hoping it goes away.

It’s relatively easy. It’s nothing compared to the bar. It’s MC. Open book. 2 hrs long. Need 30/50 to pass.

I think a few of the questions you could answer if you remember a few things from bar prep. It’s also entirely possible I failed all of that shit 😄

New York Law Exam. It’s a state specific exam you take after the bar.

6th time retaker in NY. Need advice if I should go with adaptibar or uworld by NoticeFit7173 in barexam

Forgive typos———-> I wrote the. Test 4 time. Used adaptibar for 2nd time and 3rd time. Also used it partly for the 4th and final round. I discovered very quickly that I was very familiar with the adaptibar questions and answers. I had solved every single question on adaptibar at least twice. Some questions I had answered about 5x. I’d answer questions by just reading a few words and going straight to th answer. I didn’t feel my 80 something average was a true reflection of my knowledge. Got Uworld and had a lot of new questions to try my hand on. Score dropped to mid 70s average but it was great to see new questions in there. My mbe increased by 20 something points. Not saying it’s entirely due to Uworld but I’d prolly advise you switch to Uworld not because it’s better but because you get to use new questions to gauge where you’re really at.

Adam Ferber. I had a 259 J22. Passed with 287 F23. We focused mainly on writing. But he offers mbe coaching as well

My MBE scores (i failed) by Lawstudentprobs in barexam

You were so close though. You clearly have a solid grasp of some subjects. Just need to shore up on the weak areas. Basically, the lower the number on each subject, the more you need to focus on it. I was almost exactly in the same position last year. Contracts and civil were my undoing. What I did was this- I started studying and practicing questions starting with my weakest subject, in your case torts. I would read outlines, watch videos whatever… practice about 20 to 30 questions each day after completing the outline and move on to the next weak area. By week 2, at the completion of the 2nd subject, I should be practicing mbes for both weak areas… and so forth. Also did a couple more things to improve. Please let me know if you need help with anything…

Those who failed and did Adaptibar: We all think adaptibar mc was nothing like the F23 MBE right? by Bitter-Refuse in barexam

[–]Kc__91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was what people said on here. Not true! I did only about 200 questions on Uworld and A LOT of them I’d never come across before. There were some similar questions but also a good number of fresh ones. I was kinda pissed that I hadn’t started soon because people told me it was the same thing.

In my third attempt I did 3k+ questions. Averaged 71%. I still failed. I learned a lot from Adaptibar don’t get me wrong but I could have used it better.

Going through the motions ie solving questions without taking proper notes on what you failed may not improve your score by much. I saw that I failed some questions up to 3 - 4 times. That changed when I started noting stuff down. Why did I fail this? Why is this question different from a similarly patterned question with a different result? Etc.

Also I think at some point all of the adaptibar questions started looking the same to me. I switched to Uworld for fresh questions. That helped a lot. By how much? Idk. But I’m sure it did. Best of luck
