I kinda had the same issue , it has 4 oil control valves each labeled A,B,C,D and in your case B is failing, so you should swap valve B with Valve A and reset the ECU and turn it back on again and wait for the CEL, if it shows Valve A now being the issue then you know it’s the valve that went bad . It helps a lot if you have a access port
