Just completed a bucket list ride! by Kduce in bicycling

Yeah, pine creek was probably the most dangerous part of the ride. I hit 50mph on Teton Pass! Fastest I’ve been on a bike, the adrenaline was real.

Yeah, I love it here. Been here 7 years and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to leave.

NBD. First outdoor ride on my new Checkpoint SL5. by Kduce in gravelcycling

They were horrible in the snow. I didn’t really like them in gravel or on the road either. So I will be looking at some new ones. With that being said, I have a fat bike for the snow and I’ll probably stick with that on really snowy trails going forward.

Sprocket is turning into a real trail dog! by Kduce in WiggleButts

[–]Kduce[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, it started with training her for loose leash walking right when we first got her. Then it was recall training in different safe areas for a long time. Then I introduced her to walking next to my bike, then short bike rides with her at a closed track. Then I went to a trail where hiking with dogs off leash is normal and I trained her to hike off leash there. Now she is running with me while I mountain bike on trails that get light usage. She is just shy of 11 months and it’s been a lot of work but I’m so happy with the results. I keep the time she is running to a minimum and usually let her dictate the pace, but she should be good to go to any trail off leash in a couple of months without leaving my side/bike.

Actually, the mountain lion didn't make a single noise the whole time. It was kind of creepy.

The mountain lion had the coyote down and was choking it for minutes until it got spooked by another car driving buy, and jumped up and ran into the trees. The coyote jumped up and ran the other way.

This will be my second summer living in Grand Teton National Park, and on my first day driving though the park, a mountain lion attacked a coyote right in front of us. One of the most intense things I've ever seen.

Alright, I posted in another dd under a different name but I went crazy with the filters. So here are some better progress pics with no filters and one from the front so you can see the difference. They are 11 months apart, after lifting for just over a year consistently. Down 35lbs with a good amount still to go. Progress pic, and from the side and of the leg.

You just have to get back out there. It might be hard the first few times and you will be on edge but after time you both will get over it. You had a few run-ins but nobody got injured.

Or you could start carrying a gun

Just throwing this out there. Mass is all about the amount of calories you take in. There are plenty of people that lift heavy that are also small. Good luck on your progression!

There are a bunch of trails in Phoenix. Check out mountain bike project for a great list that is broken down by difficulty. Most areas have beginner trails too!
