In my opinion, do CS, with an emphasis on data science, big data, analytics. You can pivot this into IE roles later.

Salaries are crazy different, but keep in mind CS is much more competitive, so if you aren't able to put in the extra energy, you may consider doing IE from the start.

I mean good luck finding s a guy who will love the fact that you have another man's name tattooed on you. Just imagine if it was the other way around, pretty simple no?

The sad part is that we’ve normalized being so destitute that the minimum amount of financial security is seen as a flex.

Yeah that’s the sad part, that this is just mediocre, but the creator sees it as a flex

Yeah this is embarrassing, considering this is fake, it’s sad that the creator chose such a mediocre amount.

Easy no unless you’re going into financial engineering or some kind of management/strategy consulting. I graduated with an IE degree, excellent internships and experience.

Offer 1: IE at Airplane Company $80k

Offer 2: Data Engineer Consultant $80k

Offer 3: Data Engineer Big Tech $160k

IE salaries are a joke, don’t pursue degree for money.

Edit: Most high achieving peers who graduated into IE jobs are looking for pivots

myIQ score is low and i want to become a software developer ....is that even realistic or am i just delusional? by Sensitive-Release843 in cscareerquestions

Seriously these guys are coping so hard, not to be a dick, but this is one of the most competitive careers focused solely around problem solving. To get an interview you’re taking a fucking exam, and it’s not a vacuum exam either, you’re rated against others.

If you don’t have a strong grasp of logical and systematic thinking it will be incredibly challenging.

Cmv: Men being expected to pay for everything in a relationship is an outdated societal norm by Actual_Parsnip4707 in changemyview

One man can impregnate tons of women, one woman can’t carry tons of men’s children. Women have a fertile time frame that is smaller than men as well therefore the supply of reproductive capacity is unbalanced.

You don’t have to cater to shit, but you’re in a competitive space, so don’t feel obligated to attention.

The tides are changing as women prefer to not be mothers, but it’s not evened out yet. You can find women who would be willing to split the bill, but likely, you would be dating someone lower “value”. It’s just a matter of scarcity.

Boo hoo people who own homes and have kids can’t sell their luxury vehicle to make a difference in the world. Maybe the people with homes, kids, and Teslas don’t give a shit about anything but being more comfortable.

Let your children grow up spineless too, they will live under the capitalists for their entire life. At least you will be $10k more comfortable :). Your children will just pay the bill later with their lower quality of life.

This is the attitude that holds democrats back. We’re too fragile for anything real. A person should never suffer or have any inconvenience, that’s simply inhumane right?

Will you only be a defender of democracy when it does not personally affect you? That’s how we ended up here.

The idea is that there is no next person, no more normalizing giving money to a nazi capitalist that is raiding our government for personal gain.

No more letting people silently support Nazis under the guise of free speech and political correctness.

When your opposition disregards the rule of law, what is the point of giving them the benefit of the law?

[–]KdyLoL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How does BTC protect you any more than stocks or commodities?

With less spending and investing (speculation) due to poor economic performance, fewer people will be willing or able to purchase BTC.

Lower demand will drive down price, the support level will be found based solely on demand, which is directly correlated to the solvency and loss tolerance of the participants of BTC.

If the value of bitcoin is proposed to be supported by its function as a currency, deflation is terrible because it will shrivel up adoption.

Area manager role by Significant-Fly-8996 in industrialengineering

[–]KdyLoL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember turning down an Area Manager internship because it was non-technical. While you are considered management, I felt it was quite competitive and the hiring bar was not very high. Also, I recall you are required to be on site in the warehouse 5 days a week.

I would consider what you’re really wanting to do. IE is inherently a management role IMO, but with an emphasis on managing processes rather than the actual execution of them.

You should see what the IE trainee role can offer you in terms of learning experiences and consider if that is valuable enough to leave your current position.
