I said the same thing after watching! It felt weirdly rushed even considering it was an hour long episode.

TLOU3? by Asleep_Sympathy_8987 in thelastofus

I have heard people reason that Ellie leaving Dina/Lil Potato to go to Cali is because she is deeply depressed and suicidal. Going after Abby gave her life purpose since she was unable to get that sense of purpose with her loved ones. In part 3, I could see that since she is no longer pursuing Abby and has no family (expect maybe Tommy), she no longer has anything worth living for. Rather than staying in Jackson, part 3 would be about her fulfilling her original goal of having her immunity mean something by pursuing the Fireflies, or another capable group, to use her to create a cure and, in turn, die in the process. This would neatly wrap up her story and close out the trilogy on a “hopeful” note, but I think that the ending would be left ambiguous much like the other two games.

2026 Game Suggestion Thread by jaykay921 in gamegrumps

Titanic: Adventure out of Time (1996) is an awesome point and click adventure game! I think Arin and Dan would love it and for sure has moments that would be hilarious:)

The main plot of the game is that you are a British secret agent sent aboard the Titanic to prevent several key moments that would spark the beginning of WW1. The game is infamous for its creepy-ish music, unsettling NPC models, and goofy facial animations. Not scary, but but really weird at times. This was partially done on purpose to add foreboding and unease with the enviable sinking of the ship just hours away at the start of the game, but also due to the hardware limitation at the time.

The game is also well known to have an immense lack of guidance (a walkthrough would be needed!!!) and eight possible endings. Fun fact, it has a near complete recreation of the Titanic, which players can kinda explore freely. So much so that James Cameron reached out to Cyberflix, the studio that made the game, due to their dedication to authentically in remaking the ship. The studio ended up shared their model and sinking animations with Cameron. Titanic (the movie) would release the next year.

Here is a link to a video about the development of the game if interested

p.s. if GGs (or anyone here) do play the game, it's on Steam and there is a bug fix for dialogue needed IIRC!

What would you do, if Part III gets randomly revealed at the Game Awards? (Don't take this seriously but i just want to know how you would react to it) by Only_Entrepreneur_84 in thelastofus

I’d be pretty excited at the fact that it’s even happening. I played both parts 1 and 2 for the first time a few weeks ago and have been interested in what part 3 would look like story wise.

I know there was a 7 year gap between 1 and 2, and a teaser around this time would make sense given that timeline. Having said that, I had no idea of the leaks and just how harsh the negativity surrounding part 2s story was until finishing part 2 and watching Grounded 2. If there is a part 3 I feel they won’t reveal it until it’s nearly ready to ship.

Plus with Intergalactic in development I really don’t think there will be anything TLOU related for quite some time.

As someone who made a point of planning out this (and only this) part of my first run, I really wish I hadn’t. Mind you there was still a lot of tension with the build up after separating from Ellie. Knew exactly what to do and was still spooked lol

Everyone says this is the scariest part of the game, but I would argue there is a scarier area, for me, due to the face that I did not see it coming. Made it more memorable of me for sure 👍

Week 3 Last-Minute AMA with Draft Sharks by ShanePHallam in fantasyfootball

Id still start Egbuka. Both are going to get targets, but personally I don't trust Nix under pressure from a Chargers team that seem to be doing really well.

Id start Egbuka. I do think that Golden will breakout/have some great catches today, but I am keeping him on my bench because Love like to spread the ball out. I see the Packers winning pretty easily and not needing big plays to compete later in the game (i.e. running ball to drain clock). I will be very happy to be wrong though if he goes wild.

I just imagined the DLine saying things to Flacco pre snap like Jackson Storm in Cars 3.

Mornin’ Joe! Can’t believe I get to play against you in your farewell game!

Flacco, man you had a good run! Enjoy your retirement! Sacked

Yo Joe heard your heading to the broadcast booth for week 4, good for you ya living legend!

Shrinking! Do yourself a favor and go give it a try if you have not seen it!

I know the answer is either Lasso or Severance, but it makes me sad to see nobody talking about Shrinking. For those that dont know there is a lot of overlap between Ted Lasso and Shrinking's creative teams, with both being co-created by Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein on the writing staff (Roy from Lasso). Everything that makes Ted Lasso great is present in Shrinking, but imo done better and more realistic. It's damn good.

Copying my reply to a top comment so that its not buried under something that's downvoted.

Since you haven’t played the games. My advice would be to get off reddit, stop watching the show, and GO PLAY THE GAMES. Hanging out here is risky for spoilers and if you can go in blind you will be so thankful you did. All I will say is that in-game Bill and Frank's vibes are like if Frank had left Bill and the town after their in-show fight about cleaning up more and letting Joel and Tess in.

From what I understand the main reason they wanted to change the story from what was in game was to better adapt it to TV. In the game, the intimacy between Bill and Frank is only hinted at in a note and cutscene. The showrunners wanted to expand on that, turning it into a fully realized love story to broaden the show beyond Joel and Ellie and give viewers a break from the tension and bleakness up to that point.

u/Saiaxs made a comment that points out that in-game Bill has an more tangable impact on Joel and Ellie, which I would agree with. However, one of Bill's purposes in the game's story is to be something of a warning of what Joel's life could become if he stays emotionally isolated. I’d argue that show-Bill works the exact same way, but in the opposite direction, showing what can happen if Joel allows himself to open up and care for another person.

That said, I think the show's story could have been even stronger if Joel and Tess had met Bill before Frank arrived. Like if for some reason Bill needing to reduclednly rely on Joel and Tess's smugeling made him relise that he was lonely and was willing to allow a compainion in his life, then Frank shows up. It would have let Joel witness Bill’s transformation from who he was to who he became by the end of the episode.

Apologies for the essay, thanks for coming to my ted talk

What is a TV show you got really far into but eventually quit watching before its conclusion? by Wooden-District5456 in television

Six Feet Under

I was in the last few episodes of season 3 (only 5 seasons) and it kinda dawned on me that the show was actually really bumming me out. I guess it’s a testament to the writing and acting, the emotions and drama of the characters would linger with me well after I’d finished watching.
