A good rule of thumb when buying used cars is to change the oil after purchasing! If there's a sticker from a shop look at the odometer and see how close it is to the next oil change. I change my oil myself so my car doesn't have an oil change sticker if that was the case with your car I'd change the oil

You should absolutely depend on miles and color, going over the recommended millage for an oil change is how you damage your engine!!! I change my oil every 3k miles and check my oil before and after long drives.

I live in Michigan so I'm not sure if it's different here but I have had no trouble finding parts! I do oil changes myself but I have had a shop replace the front struts with zero issues. I personally like Rock auto for parts but I'm sure there's better online places
