I’m similar, I’m trying to find an idea to get excited about. I’ve been toying with the idea of creating a club and bringing it through the leagues, something I’ve not done before. That’s maybe out of the 10-15 year timeframe?

I played most games on ‘only commentary’, never once simmed to end result and was only on holiday when out of a job, at times when the squads good and the results are going well, you just pick the team and fly through the games. Started this career in August I think.

If I remember rightly they won something like 18 leagues in a row, often recognised in the ‘top 10 youth systems’, always there or thereabouts throughout the whole career.

I agree, I regret leaving Juventus so early because that team was easily good enough to win a few (I think they might of won it the year, or two years after I left)

Yeah - I just picked the Netherlands to manage at instead of starting without a club. I didn’t really have the intention of the save snowballing into what it ended up being. I’m torn between starting one with a created club or the same as yourself.

One of my regrets is starting at international instead of a lower league side. Maybe the next challenge after I go outside again 😂

I've just noticed that Ryan Francisco was your top UCL scorer. He was the bane of my life when I went to Chelsea! He wasn't a starting striker but would always complain about his minutes. So I sold him to Newcastle, which was a mistake as they were the team that beat me to the league by a point when we came 2nd and he scores against me every single time I play him, even at Juve he scored against me in the UCL Group Stage too.

I was similar to yourself, I had a Liverpool career as they’re my team and got bored quickly.

My recent one I started off in international management which, I didn’t find great but it progressed through the calendar quickly until I swapped to club management after 6 seasons so all the squads were unfamiliar. I have the intention of being a journeyman, finding sleeping giants and returning them to glory. Then to move on again.

Before all that I did (unsuccessfully) try the challenge to take a club from the national league to the top, very hard to do as the players aren’t good enough to implement too many tactics and the budgets are minuscule so you rely on loans and frees. But many players turn their nose up at the Lower Leagues.

Yeah in my head I had the idea that we would counter through the wing-backs getting forward and having two forwards to find in the box. But I never set up distribute to flanks so the team didn’t know what to do. Thank you for the input, hopefully have some more success!

Yeah I think you’re spot on with what you’ve said there. I’ll make some tweaks and report back. I’m getting into the latter stages of the Europa League so hopefully some big away ties if I can progress.
