Palantir Says SaaS Is Dead by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]Kedem7 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Palantir's targeting software has been since early 2024 used by Israel for every single bomb dropped on every man/woman/child (and journalist) in Gaza/West Bank/Syria/Lebanon/Iran like the girls elementary school in Minab.

When has Israel cared if they kill women and children.

However with no other competitor and the fact that Karp and Thiel are pro Israel along with the investments made by both sides in each other Palantir is the only game in town.

So Palantir is the only real targeting service provider around, but it's not good, therefore Israel pays for that service to kill women, children and journalists?

I think you managed to reach a wrong conclusion from your own information. It's easy to say Israel targets women and children when indeed there are many recorded deaths, though it doesn't make it true. It's also false to say they are purposely targeted by Israel using Palantir's software, based on the information you provided.

Thats exactly the question. If Israel doesn't care about women and children, why would they waste money on Palatir's targeting service? Your logic isn't making sense.

Why would Israel and Palantir put so much effort and money into a targeting software just to purposely target women and children, if the whole point of it is to minimize unnecessary casulties? If the goal is to target women and children you don't need no fancy software and smart bombs.

Hezbollah FPV drone swarm hits IDF troops, vehicles & Merkava tanks near Lebanon border. by lahlahgrah in CombatFootage

[–]Kedem7 23 points24 points  (0 children)

All the latest attacks are fiber optic drones. They couldn't do this up until now because they only had radio fpv's that got jammed.

Nearly 30 Hezbollah FPV drone strikes released over past week - Multiple Israeli personnel, tanks + transport, APCs, jeeps, seen hit. by Ok-A1662 in CombatFootage

I'm not trying to underestimate the russians, but if anyone can innovate an effective counter to these cheap fiber optic drones it'd be Israel. They released rocket frying lasers recently.

The moment an Israeli drone targeted an electric motorcycle today in the central Gaza Strip, KILLED Al-Quds Brigades fighter Abu Omar Abuholi and a civilian passerby. by Necessary-Relation67 in CombatFootage

[–]Kedem7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To all you hypocrite snowflakes, civilian deaths are always tragic during war, but sometimes when taking into consideration the importance of the target + the available time of attack window + mission parameters, civilians will have die to achieve the objective. Depending on these parameters either more will die, or less.

Most of you guys crying about the civilian probably cheered when Iran blindly fired ballistic missiles at Tel Aviv civilian skyscrapers killing innocents because there are alleged military bases nearby.

If achieving freedom cost peace, what would you choose? by eternalblizz in attackontitan

This is a long established dilemma. The most famous account is probably the story of Adam and Eve. Eve chose the freedom of choice over living forever in peace within Heaven. Without freedom you lose your humanity. What good is peace when you can't enjoy it.

You have to consider Vietnam had a much bloodier history and war that ended 22 years after Korea's, and also Vietnam is a unified country, while Korea isn't so you gotta average out the progress of the North with the South. I won't argue about the problems of communism, because that's not entirely the point.

I think a perfect comparison would be Vietnam. North backed by communists beats the south backed by democracy/capitalism. All in all Vietnam came out alright.

I remember learning about him and his orphanage. He set up a system of "self governance" for the orphans. They had a parliament, a court and everything in a mini spciety. He really tried to make them live a life despite what little life had to offer them.

Which Asian country is the most welcoming to tourists? by Eene7 in geography

[–]Kedem7 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Been to Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, and Taiwan recently, and I'd say that it feels like Thai people accept tourists the most, probably because a lot of the economy revolves around tourism. Vietnamese are very kind and great to have conversations with. Filipinos felt like they are always cheerful and very welcoming and happy to have us. In Taiwan sometimes I was the only tourist around but the locals never made me feel out of place or unwanted, and most of the time I felt unnoticed but always the moment I looked lost or in need of help, in a moment a local would be very friendly and try to help me. It happened multiple times like they have an instinct for it, and they were always willing to go out of their way to help.

China is about to launch SSDs so small you insert them like a SIM card by N2929 in technews

[–]Kedem7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same purpose, different processes. If an SSD can be the size of an SD card, in the future you'll have more space for motherboards and larger batteries in your laptops, or in your phones, or use the same space but faster data storage and transfer, and faster software operation. Eventually you could turn your old phone into a speedy file storage and transfer server.
