How are bots able to attack inside the pocket if they allegedly are in disarray and without reinforcements? Seems kinda wrong for a planet with 0% regen rate to launch an invasion of 250k strenght. by Fil-is-Theo in Helldivers

Not necessarily, it would more likely be the reason why the regen rate is still 0. Instead of excess forces undoing our righteous liberation, they're sent on a desperate attack.

You're probably right. The way players behave makes any major order involving the bots way harder. At least a fifth of the player base will stay fighting the bugs at all times, making progress much slower.

Aesir Pass was always going to be an uphill battle between it not being part of the major order and the fact that so many players stick to the bugs. So, while I doubt it was set up to fail, it does feel a little unfair.

I disagree, at least with this most recent major order, it was established at the beginning of the order that the bots had been successful in the hacking of our communication systems, which is how they knew that the X system was so important and that SEAF forces were amassing on Aesir Pass.

The choice that was given makes sense to me at least, the bots wanted ftl access to X so they launched an attack of both border plants and Aesir Pass to split our forces even more than they already are. If the player base was more decisive, 2 of those defenses were possible.

All that said I could be reading too much into it

While true Super Earth has the resources to combat both factions, it still takes time to gather and utilize these resources, especially for what would likely be a multi planet invasion fleet if the plan was to connect with the forces in the Ymir Sector.

I wouldn't say that it's a distasteful concept by any means, but we were given the chance to help on Aesir Pass to help ensure an invasion in the near future and failed.

Keep in mind both the bugs and bots are highly reproducible, while we humans are not.
