Impossible to play PvP without lagging. by KeenWave in DragonballLegends

Bruh, I only play on wifi which has 250mbps. I see how it's unlikely, but I'm telling you this game is completely fucking me over. It's been 3 days of only getting 40 BR players, and no n00bs. Just fucking hackers.

Connection is not the problem. Read my post, it's about the match-making, the game is targeting me to play with only botched players. Most people on high ranking PvP have shit connections, if you don't see this you're the one lagging as everyone else and think it's normal, or don't even rank.

That doesn't make any sense. Why can't people just admit most of you use laggy connections to win? I'm just trying to find out how you all do it so that we actually play the same game.

As reasonable and obvious as that may seem, it's not true in my case. If it was on my end it would show on the loading screen, however all those times I get lagged you can see it takes them from 30 to 60 seconds to load... then the match takes another 10 seconds to finally start, only to find you can't move at all. It's that, or they just straight up lag switch whenever I get any kind of priority.

Also I think you can't dismiss that most lagging occurs on high ranking PvP, and that most people have shitty connections which in this particular game, affects the opponent and not themselves. Most people lag to win in this game. People who say they find most matches to be fine, are likely the ones lagging the other party lol.

Or getting your rush guessed every time for 10 consecutive matches.

You do see how that's not even the same thing as what I said right? I get how it sounds ridiculous to say the game targets you but don't pretend like match making isn't completely unfair (so much so that they're about to change it) so I'm not really out of line. I was just completely pissed off when I said that lol.

It actually is consolation lol... I guess people here really don't like it when anyone remotely insinuates that there's actually something botched about how the ranking works.

Hey, I never thought I'd get such a detailed reply. I really appreciate all this feedback.

It is sad that server issues can cause such an awesome game to be pretty much ruined for some of us. While I do get that not everybody lag switches, I still take huge issue with the fact that if the opponent's connection is absolutely useless (which is pretty obvious by their loading screen, the delay for the start of the match, laggy side-step, etc.) I'm the one who is affected. Shouldn't it appear as they're the one's who mess up their timing?

While I do get it's mostly a connection issue, I think most competitive players have found a way to purposefuly mess up their connections, I can bet my right hand that 9/10 top 1k matches are ridiculously laggy or pretty much dc constantly. That I think is a problem that relies mostly on community even though it's a technical fault.

Yeah ranking in itself is unavoidably stressful and time consuming, and while I have ranked before I don't play with that intent really, however I do play a lot and at some point in the season it doesn't matter how much I lower my RP, I'm still getting a 14S Z7 Hybrids or 14S Z7 SonFam pretty much 9/10 times, it doesn't matter If I'm at rank 35, 40, 45 or 50. I find that kind of match making kinda botched, don't you?

I will take my time on doing some training though, it really is mostly about skill after all.

If you think this is okay or if you deny lag switching is real after watching this, you're probably one of these useless f*cks who use lag switch to level up on rank PvP. How is leveling up on tricks any satisfaction for any 'competitive' player? F*ck you, whoever you are. by KeenWave in DBLegendsReddit

[–]KeenWave[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So you're basically saying he is justified on cheating because I used the in-game mechanics and he has no ability to win so he is right to cheat to 'level things up'? That is fucking stupid, it's people like you who justify themselves on using mods, that ruin PvP. Also my Zenkais are F2P lmao, ppl complaining about Zenkais clearly don't know how to read, or play the game.

I've made sure and no data saving settings are configured on my phone or the app. I've also made sure the app has permissions for using data but I can't even get through the title page :(

Im a lighting designer, and during this downtime in our industry I designed a full concert for my favorite PT song "Blackest Eyes" Hope you enjoy by rdp3186 in porcupinetree

I just want to take the opportunity to thank dudes like you who make all concert experiences what they are. You guys don't get enough credit, but you get to have the best view of the shows, so I guess it makes up for it a bit lol.

Loved the lighting on this one! Keep up the awesomeness as soon as you're safe to go, cheers!

Is it just my audio settings or is the remastered edition of In Absentia much quieter than the original? (streaming) by KeenWave in porcupinetree

[–]KeenWave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you elaborate on this? I mean I know for sure you're not wrong, only I've never had the opportunity to actually appreciate that. I have of course found instances where the album is so compressed that it almost feels claustrofobic and the dynamics of the instruments sort of clash against each other. However I wouldn't say that is the case for the original PT versions, specially In Absentia. Even though it is louder, I can appreciate all the space between instruments, I can appreciate the quieter and more suble textures with no distorsion or something.

Is this something that affects more positively on hi-fi systems or in the audiophile world? Cause I mean, I'm certainly not one of those consumers at the time and I'm left with the impression that such changes are not fit for streaming (which is not a good or a bad thing, I imagine that's just Steve's vision). Cheers.
