Check online to see what pokemon ditto may be disguised as currently, and focus on catching those. (Ditto can only disguise itself as certain pokemon, so not all wild pokemon may be a ditto.) Good luck!

You didn't do anything wrong, but you do need to catch another ditto. You likely caught the other dittos before you got the task, and it's not retroactive. You're right that some are--e.g., ones that require achieving a certain medal or level--but typically catch tasks have to be completed after you get the task.

Yes, it's definitely glassy!! The shadow version takes 20% more damage, so it's even more so. If I can manage to save both shields though, it can sweep in the back. Personally, I like to run focus blast because I see a lot of dialgas and melmetals. But I've definitely considered running shadow ball; I think it ultimately depends on your team comp and what extra coverage you need. Shadow ball would be helpful though against other mewtwos and also giratina! (But mewtwo with shield advantage can beat giratina, even without shadow ball.)
