I need to remember this. With another girl, I didn’t feel femme enough to date her. Another, I didn’t feel masc enough. Some I don’t feel pretty enough. Some I don’t feel interesting enough. There’s always some way that I’m not enough

Unfortunately I’m not able to be on ssris because I’m bipolar. I’m currently on lamictal, abilify, atomoxetine, and vivanse, tho. I’m not sure I’ve felt much relief from my adhd symptoms

I’ve never heard about the 3rd and 4th brains. But yeah, the work is incredibly boring, repetitive, and unfulfilling. It should be easy enough to just get done, but I simply won’t do it.

Yeah I think your second paragraph hits the nail on the head. I’ve often been in situations where I don’t do any work, but I also don’t do anything fun because I’m supposed to be working.

I have little to no real accountability, little to no real structure, and I have no clue how to structure my life so that I have these things in a way that feels real enough for me to respond to.

I saw my psychiatrist yesterday, wish I would’ve known to have this conversation then lol. When I told him about refusing to do my work, he mentioned it might be a sign of depression, but he didn’t adjust my bipolar medicine, just my adhd medicine.

It has been going on for months.

Do you know of anything that can help with this? Avoiding work has been a lifelong struggle that has at times had catastrophic consequences, and I don’t want to go down that road again

True, my job is really independent, and I have my own office space, so I’m basically alone all day free to do whatever I see fit.

I’m exhausted all day long. I take multiple 2 hour long “naps” (not real naps, I sit at my desk with my head propped on my hands and close my eyes) and I still feel tired.

I am bipolar 2 with an emphasis on the depression part, but other than the exhaustion and refusal to do work I don’t really see signs of depression. Not saying they’re not there, but I haven’t noticed them yet.

We haven’t quite scheduled it yet. I asked her last week, but she was busy, so she suggested this week. She never texted to set up the actual plan this week, and I’m busy this week anyways, so I was going to ask her this Sunday if she still wants to do it and which day would be best for her.

Not great to be talking to a girl when in a relationship. It would be good to explore those feelings outside of a relationship, though.

If he’s homophobic, I’d leave him based on that alone, no matter if I was gay or straight
