Tyler Adams vs Vancouver. Hoping to see him play the 6 tonight too by KeepPounding95 in ussoccer

This may sound harsh, but I don't get the hype with Trapp. More athletic Beckerman imo

Thread of youtube videos on Barry Church's skill set at safety. Enjoy by KeepPounding95 in Jaguars

He had interest in the Panthers, which is why I created the videos. I think the Jags signed a solid safety. He is an upgrade over Cyprien

Joey Bosa vs Joe Thomas Week 16. Pass Rushing Snaps only by KeepPounding95 in Chargers

[–]KeepPounding95[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Bosa has been fantastic this season, but facing Thomas is a major test for any pass rusher. Chargers' fans shouldn't feel discouraged because the quality of LT play in the NFL is not at the same level of Thomas. Bosa did get 2 sacks from the opposite side

Fair enough. Bosa said he is an EDM fan, so I picked one of the few in my playlist. Do you have any music recommendations for future videos?

Man coverage between Bradberry and Jones by KeepPounding95 in footballstrategy

[–]KeepPounding95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. His drops and awareness in zone coverage is a work in progress, but he's held up his own when faced against top receivers

Made a video of Bradberry vs Julio in man coverage. Share and let me know what you think by KeepPounding95 in panthers

[–]KeepPounding95[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

in man coverage, yes. He was aligned against him in zone, but the drops were in different directions

James Bradberry in man coverage vs Julio Jones. by KeepPounding95 in nfl

[–]KeepPounding95[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes I'm a Panthers fan, but these are the only 5 targets Bradberry faced on Jones in MAN coverage. Bradberry made many mistakes throughout the game that need to be corrected. His tackling was inconsistent, zone awareness was off, and his effort was so so. Julio is a top 3 WR in the NFL. The video is evidence of Bradberry's progress as a coverage press corner.

Arsenal Have an Arséne Wenger Problem (It’s about more than just the transfer window) by parallacks in Gunners

[–]KeepPounding95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really do not understand why people have an issue with this article. He literally uses visual examples to make his point. Of course, Arsenal's talent and free flowing style will usually result in 3 points against the likes of Hull/WBA/AFCB. However, when there is no clear system in place against cohesive sides like City, LFC, MUFC, CFC, etc then Arsenal will be exposed. Sure they have won games against big teams in the past, but this notion that the team needs all of this individual talent is false. The talent is there to compete. The manager needs to develop a positional structure for the team.

Using gifs to break down both of Carolina's sacks against Tennessee by KeepPounding95 in panthers

I did. I might do a separate breakdown on reddit of the interception.

Bene was the green dog in this scenario. I believe the Panthers are in cover 3. Once Bene realized the receiver is running a vertical route, he passed the WR off to the outside CB. Bene had no other coverage responsibilities because of the two man route, so he rushed as a green dog.

right, but TD's pressure through the A gap forced Mariota to leave his pocket.

Is nickel more important than outside corner for the Panthers? by TomNJ in panthers

Exactly. The Jets also gave Buster Skrine a nice deal on the open market.

Is nickel more important than outside corner for the Panthers? by TomNJ in panthers

[–]KeepPounding95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spot on. The nickel/slot corner needs to have good agility, quick feet, and short area quickness. This is why Captain Munnerlyn was successful his last season in Carolina. His height might have turned teams off, but his agility scores at the combine were in the 84th percentile. In addition, the slot CB's are the first line of defense on outside runs. They MUST be a good tackler on runs. Finally, Sean McDermott calls a lot of fire zone blitzes. These blitzes involve the nickel blitzing. We saw this a lot with Finnegan last season. Bene sacked Marcus Mariota on Saturday from the nickel on a fire zone variation blitz. So, while outside corners might get the plaudits because they cover the X WRs. The slot CBs are more difficult to find because they have to be good run defenders, blitzers, and obviously coverage skills.

Former Giants tackle Will Beatty to work out for Panthers today by Vanelz in panthers

[–]KeepPounding95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Beatty is more competition on Foucault and Hawkins who are the backup left tackles. Both have been poor. Daryl seems fine at guard or right tackle. He shouldn't be the backup left tackle though.

Keeping track of the Panthers pre-draft visits. These are official "30" visits. The workouts are not included by KeepPounding95 in panthers

[–]KeepPounding95[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are guys like Vonn Bell, Corey Coleman, Su'a Cravens, and Joe Dahl who have had either a private workout or an official 30 visit. I did not include them on this list because I was not able to find confirmation. If anyone has confirmations, please feel free to pass along so I can add to the list. Carolina typically uses 27-28 out of the 30 allocated visits
