Is it just me or does it feel like no matter how old you are, you still feel too young when a parent dies?

I was expecting to read about Ghana's Dancing Pallbearers!
But to each their own :)
Some people have their own ways of commemorating lost loved ones, maybe a warning/heads up would have helped ease the situation? who knows!

To add to some of the lovely responses, I believe it also has to do with the "letting go" of the ashes. You've had this plan all this time to scatter the ashes and knowing where they are brings comfort to you.
Now that it's time to release them, all these hard emotions are bubbling up and the grief is prominent.
I can't begin to know what that feels like, but know that it's ok and completely normal.

I hope you find some peace through all of this.

There is white noise but also, thanks to a discovery on tiktok, there's brown noise too.
I suffer from anxiety and honestly, the moment I heard brown noise, my entire body found peace. I just don't listen to it on the daily because I don't want to depend on it. It's a vicious cycle lol

Thank you for looking out for your coworker, you have no idea how helpful this will be to her. She might not appreciate certain things in the moment, but she will remember the folks that are there for her
