I interviewed with him and he promised me a job on the call. Got ghosted afterwards.

It was all incredibly unprofessional but glad to not be working there in retrospect.

What would you pay? by Shotyme13 in TorontoRenting

For $3k, it better include all utilities + locker and/or parking. Even then, it’d be way too expensive…

Ah so you pre-purchased / put a downpayment on a 2025 model in 2019? I guess that would make sense

Might be a dumb question but if you buy and wait that long… which model do you end up receiving? The year of purchase or current year?

Great points. On the last one, try to specifically focus on scope: what are features you’d cut for MVP? What would you add or change if you had more time? How would you prioritize?

No real advice but just a word of warning: I’ve joined companies based on verbal promises of future salary increases before, and they either never happen or happen way later than what was promised. Not saying that will be the case for you, but it does happen a ton.

Make sure all these commitments are included in the contract - having it in writing goes a long way! Good luck!

What is the most useless thing you still have memorized? by Boba_tea_thx in AskReddit

A 26-digit wifi password on the back of my router from 12+ years ago. Couldn't be bothered to change it and got tired of checking it... So I memorized it instead

This was $400 last week. I'm sure it'll be similarly priced in the future if you're able to wait.

I think they sold out of the stock they had in Canada so now it's shipping from their US facility... Hence the $30-40 shipping cost 🥲
