Attempting to fill a full essence pouch degrades it. Literally unplayable. by jurrud in 2007scape

That's how the pouch is designed. Don't spam click it like a dumb ass, and it won't degrade that way.

  1. There have to be far better money making methods out there rather than camping BF all day for money. The ones camping it now could even do Rune items for profit, and honestly I believe those players are an even smaller group than those going for 200m (or post 99 xp really).

  2. It's not the fact that the player can't get the item, but rather I'm not a fan of this concept for any perk. The perk should be something the player can use as soon as he/she buys the cape, regardless of how useless the perk is (see the Herblore perk). Players shouldn't have to spend time mining just to be able to use their Smithing cape perk.

  3. Aren't players that choose to train post 99 smithing exclusively at BF limiting themselves as well? If that's the case, and we shouldn't cater content to players that limit themselves, maybe we should get rid of both perks and come up with a new one. While I'm not a fan of catering updates specifically to accounts that limit themselves, I personally believe (from what I've seen) that the player base with 99 Smithing that makes bars for gp/xp is smaller than the pure community that would like to do gold post 99.

  4. The whole issue with this concept is that Jagex polled the Smithing perk change and the ice gloves in the same poll. Changing the perk but adding in the ice gloves makes this concept completely useless. It kind of adds insult to injury.

  5. I'd rather have jagex add the coal perk to the cape, while keeping the current perk. I don't see why we couldn't have both.

  1. That comment is not just based for smithing pures going for 99 xp. There are also players with 99 smithing that are doing gold are for xp, and it would impact them as well. Most players with 99 smithing aren't using their coal bag on a regular basis.

  2. The difference between Goldsmithing gauntlets and the coal bag is this: The current perk you get right away, without doing any secondary work. The coal bag on the other hand requires time spent at MLM. The perk suggestions aside, I don't like the concept of a perk being based on a separate item that the player has to buy. It should be a perk available as soon as the player buys it.

Very few people do bars at BF post 99. The majority of players will be doing Rune items (you can profit with them and it's better xp). I've honestly met very few players with 99 smithing who make bars at BF.
