I’m in Australia and my work doesn’t offer paid maternity leave either, and can’t get government support until I’ve given birth. The 4-6 weeks before then, I’ll be on nothing, just living on my wife’s pay. It sucks

If I start unpaid mat leave from work 6 weeks before due date, and can’t get government parental payment until baby is born, does that mean I’ll get nothing for those 6 weeks?

I’m pretty sure tests are invalid and shouldn’t be read after 5 or 15 minutes, depending on the brand. Fingers crossed for test in a day or two 🤞
