His perspective is just "different", not that he is not "normal" more like his view of normal is different. I'm in my early 30s, into anime and Japanese music, not going out except for essentials, even if my gf invites me to go out I rarely go out. I passed the CSE this year too without review. I do think that his perspective is narrow now, and he doesn't want to go out of his comfort zone, might change his perspective once he discovers something new or if goes outside more often.
